Taking Back Our Childhood: The Ultimate Pokemon Quest | Gen 3 and Beyond!

This is something I’ve always wanted to do for myself, as I feel like we were kinda robbed from the idea of actually catching them all as kids, especially with event pokemon and exclusives.

I also will make a follow up video discussing how exactly we’re going to go about getting the mythical pokemon without gameshark and the cool and interesting stuff that goes with that.

Other than that, I definitely would love to stream myself playing these pokemon games, whether it be going through the stories, maxing coins in the game corner for porygon, breeding, mount battle, etc, etc, etc. I feel like this would be an awesome way to hang out with you guys and bring you along for the ride!

  1. How far are you going to go with the living dex?
    1) Just 1 of each pokemon (each stage)
    2) 2 of most pokemon (to get all gender varients)
    3) 2 of most pokemon (to get all gender varients) and then visual variants was well (like all the Vivillion variants)
    4) 4 of most pokemons (to get all gender varients), in their base, and siny forms, and the visual varients and their base and shiny varients

The 3rd and 4th ones would be a pain to go for though haha.

  2. I guess you're talking about the roms made Goppier a while ago for the Mistery Events. Yeah, they're basically the best ways to access these events on physical hardware. You'll probably need another Mew besides the one in Faraway Island, since that one might not pass the Legality Check on Bank.

If your Game Cube is hacked, you can just use a Rom of the Colosseum Bonus Disc for the Wishmaker Jirachi. The Celebi requires a japanese (complete) copy of both Ruby/Sapphire and Colosseum though.

  3. Do whatever you want. I never really tryed collect them all in the games when I beat the elite 4 than that's pretty much when I stopped playing the pokemon game or till a new one comes out. But this is your goal and your having fun so keep going.

  4. Oh Ed this is amazing and I salute you for going all in on it!! I was only 2 Pokémon away from completing the national dex in emerald: Jirachi and Delibird (my brother was a troll and didn’t want to give me one 😅) but unfortunately my save file got corrupted and lost all of them 😢 I was lucky to have a group of friends who were invested in Pokémon and was able to do smart trades with them to get almost everything (no one had a Jirachi lol)

  5. Gen 3 was a crazy good time. Great childhood memories. I still remember one summer at kids camp, I made a good friend through our shared love of Pokémon. We’d bring our copies of emerald and challenge each other to different things like who could beat the E4 first, who could catch a certain legendary first, who could get X Pokémon to level 100 first and then beat the E4 with it first. Such a positive memory to look back on.
