This is a great idea Chris, i hope you don't burn out with juggling too many things at once.
As for game ideas, I'd strongly suggest Deus Ex (THE conspiracy game, made in 2000 and set in a near future where the twin towers were taken down by terrorists and the entire world had to take constant vagcinmes to survive).
Or for something new Terra Invicta, a completely original idea gameplay-wise, where you work behind the scenes to stop or help an alien invasion of Earth.
