China’s military has finished two days of military drills around Taiwan in the greatest escalation in tension across the Taiwan Strait since 2022.

China characterised the two day drills as “punishment”, while Taiwan insists it won’t be cowed by Chinese pressure.

  5. Side with China, money comes in. Side with the US, Australian will pay more taxes. We need to choose wisely!

    In 1973, The Australian Government recognises the Government of the People's Republic of China as the sole legal Government of China, acknowledges the position of the Chinese Government that Taiwan is a province of the People's Republic of China, and has decided to remove its official representation from Taiwan before January 25, 1973. Chinese investment in Australia become a highly valued part of the bilateral relationship. China is the sixth-largest foreign direct investor in Australia ($46.3 billion in 2021), accounting for 4.4 per cent of total foreign direct investment (FDI).

    Now in 2023, Australian government is accusing China of invading Taiwan after friending with India. Looks like Australia government wants to impose war tax which is also called "Victory Tax" or the "Victory Bond" on us.

  8. China wanted to test their military might. Anyway lets see if what is the real capabilities of China. As they are now started to rule the world. First expansion of the WPS, take over of Taiwan. But this will lead to a world war 3. Can china successful in its suicidal action? Well thats good they woll test the latest technology of USA.

  13. The only reason China has not already gotten this over with is the USA, because they do not really know what the USA will do. In context, before Iraq invaded Kuwait in 1990, Iraq asked the US ambassador what the US position on Kuwait, the ambassador though they meant their ongoing legal squabbles over where the Iraq/ Kuwait border at the time was and she stated that the US has no policy. Iraq thought that was a go for invasion and found out differently.

  22. The only reason China wants Taiwan is for their Logic Semiconductors. If China gets their hands on those Factories, they could blackmail or control the world, by refusing to sell them to any country (USA). Taiwan makes 70% of the world's semiconductors. 🤯

  33. I think this China hipe is just fools gold for the defense industry. China is not Russia. In the last 80 years China has become a developed nation. It simply wants to have a reunion with Taiwan. Not by force. The people of China are peaceful by nature. I just dont but into this war mongering.
