Vyse is too cool a name for Vyse.
Normally I love fantasy games, but the pacing made this one kind of boring. I'm surprised Prij was able to play 5 hours of it.
Catiua must have a headache from doing all of Vyce's thinking for him.
Oh choices DO matter in this game. You will see.

you get some of the better units when you chose a path where Vyce ultimately joins you, and it's a fucking lawful route. Also, this game is quite known to make you let a whole village burn to get a waifu joins you.
I love Vyse. The story of the boy with huge inferiority complex rising above and being a better man than the boy he was always jealous of- chefs kiss. I know most people do the other route but I'm left so satisfied by the writing of the one I chose I can't imagine (but I will eventually!!) playing any other way. Sorry if this was spoilery,, I tried to be vague.
I would genuinely love to get into these sorts of games again, but honestly Xcom has spoiled me for quality of life and strategic depth. A different sort of game, for sure, but I simply haven't found a fantasy tactics-like game yet where the consequences of my actions and positioning matter as much as in Xcom War of the Chosen. It pretty quickly boils down to "have better characters, go whack peeps, win" in fantasy tactics likes. Anyone to prove me wrong? Loving me some fantasy army themes, but I can't find the game. I admit I haven't went super deep into many more recent ones, so that's on me.
