  1. Whole video was about Man City and peps defence and tomorrows about their attack right? so this isn’t a video about klopps masterclass or how he unlocked pep but a video about how pep got it wrong, another blatant example of the bias

  2. Do you think Halaand's half hearted press was due to him not knowing how to press, an injury he may have picked up (didn't look sharp) or his large frame cannot press all game long? Perfect analysis by the way it made less emotional and angry at my club. You should become a manager. The last time we played 3-5-2 against Loserpool we beat them 5-0. We keep losing key games due to Pep's constant desire to play the 4-3-3 which even though successful cost us in big games.

  3. People say Pep is the best manager in the world. I disagree, as Klopp has achieved more with a much lower net transfer spend. Pep needs lots of dirty oil money to spend over a billion pounds in net transfers. Klopp has spent a third of that on his transfers.

  4. Klopp used Oxlade-Chamberlain a number of seasons back to beat City's press, I think he had to fight physical duels with Mendy and if he'd win those Liverpool was nigh on man-to-man in attack. Which is a bad situation to be in against Salah, Firmino and Mane. I'm imagining something similar will happen with Nunez. City has the capacity to lock down Liverpool at least for parts of a match. Then the long ball to Nunez should come into play who should be a physical match for any of their defenders.

  5. Always thought that the winger and midfielder will be deeper with haaland and spray early passes or through ball.. but no, haaland is used as decoy and de bruyne is as aggressive like city was in false 9 mode..

Obviously They need to play together more to build connection

  6. City didn't have trouble keeping the ball. It will be another dominant year for them if they can keep their midfielders fit. They were also without 2 first choice centre backs.
Liverpool looked sharp and Nunez is settling in. I agree with what Klopp said that they need to get a better understanding with his runs in behind so the rest of the team can make the best use of him. I haven't been impressed with Harvey Elliot since he came back from injury. He just looks like a boy playing a man's game, doesn't have the strength to keep possession but he isn't selfish which I like and his passing is good. Salah playing similarly to last season taking up the wide right position to stretch the defence. I really hope this is the season that Curtis Jones takes a step up. He showed he was good enough to leave the reserves a few years ago but he has never quite reached the level I think everyone expected. I hope he can change that this year.

  7. If "solving the Pep puzzle" means City being short of match fitness, playing a backup CB who has a poor game, and conceding a penalty; then Pep is probably not too worried.

  8. Haaland's attitude was awful in that game. Really lethargic and the moment when De Bruyne got really frustrated at him summed it up. Not sure if it's pressure, not used to the system or what it is, but Haaland needs to sharpen up quickly

  9. City needs pacey wingers to help square the ball to Haaland. I don’t know why they sold sterling After getting a proper 9. Grealish is not going to work at the wings

  10. This is by far your greatest video, I definitely don't mind the length. The only criticism I could have here is that I didn't realise this was 2 parts until later when the Liverpool segment seemed to be taking up most of the video. It would be great to add the 2 parts bit to the title.

  11. We were the weaker squad on the day. Liverpool…[still smarting after the P.L. loss]…were far…far stronger. They constantly smothered the passage-of-play between De Bryune & Haaland [which would've been the idea]….Their counter and attacking style frustrated and basically ran rings round the team. It appears losing Mane hasn't affected Liverpool one iota….
