Syria revolution: 12 years on, a divided nation and broken economy

It has been 12 years since peaceful protests began in Syria calling for the removal of President Bashar al-Assad.
The uprising turned into a civil war and proxy war involving regional powers.
Hundreds of thousands of people were killed and millions remain displaced.
But al-Assad remains in power.

  1. The Syrian conflict is very similar to the Ukraine conflict. Both have been funded by the CIA. Have seen that already in 2005 the CIA started funding extremists who also received weapons with close to 1 billion dollars/year. Still in 2023, Syria is occupied and its oil is taken care of by the US itself. How many think it's ok?

  2. Another Aljazeera propaganda video helping to divide Syria. Seems like you are more interested in upholding the American and Israeli regime change operation instead of bringing peace and prosperity. As an Arab news channel backed by an Arab government, you should be ashamed of yourself for causing division and agony in Syria and Yemen. The backing of the rebels in the terrorist headquarters of Idlib only brings more suffering and division for Syrians and the region. Stop siding with the American and Israeli plan of divide and conquer and help bring peace to a troubled region for the sake of Allah!
