From what I saw on this stream and what the dev was answering, I actually bought the game and played up to the part Diana joins 😛 I really like this game
Instant buy. This tickles my Ogre Battle itch and feels like Vestaria Saga in presentation. Heck, getting their entire catalog bundle to support them, since I already want more from these guys.
It is funny to see a boomer gamer like Mangs haha, it is hilarious and endearing at times to see him fumble around a new game knowing that he will mastered it eventually. It just takes time and familiarity.
The whole "I came up with this idea independently a while ago but then someone else implemented it and if I release it now it's gonna look like I copied them" is so relatable. Some months ago I had an idea for a Fire Emblem hack with a lineage of giant women and seeing Diana was "oh sheet, really, lol". Though who am I kidding, this hack I have in my mind will never be real. It requires a massive amount of technical knowledge and determination I don't have.
Hey, steam recently suggested this to me. Seemed like a nice bahamut lagoon / ogre battle kind of game and the spritework looks nice, so I put it on the "keep an eye on" list.
However I was worried due to reviews mentioning very clunky controls and way too low difficulty, so it's nice to see actual gameplay from norway to decide whether I want this myself or not.
There's an excellent turn based RPG/Strategy game that has been in development for 18 years that I don't see almost anybody talk about. The Battle for Wesnoth. It trounces pretty much all other games from this genre in terms of content and polish. And the best part is: it's COMPLETELY FREE! And Open Source to boot! I would definitely recommend everybody to download and play it, the single campaign campaigns alone will give you dozens of hours of content and then there's also multiplayer with a community that is still very active as far as I can tell.
I was looking at this game a few days ago. I enjoyed the demo from what I've played. Since I see Mangs playing it I think I'll purchase this game from steam and play along.
As someone who fiffled with RPG Maker, it's pretty difficult to axhieve what they've done. Doable, ovbiously, but it's pretty advanced.
I like seeing you try other games. Would love for you to play more Valkyria Chronicles, but my tip for you is to just use a controller. The game was made for PS3 originally, so it was made for a controller.
Would have preferrned Mangs just played the game rather than have someone dictating to him how the game works the entire time. Jesus, he'll figure it out, enough with the lecturing.
Can't find this answer anywhere in game or online, but is there a level requirement to promoting to tier 3 in addition to everything else? Have a level 11 apprentice with all needed stats and materials but its not letting me upgrade. Thanks!
You can get the game here

That's like Ogre Battle, nice!
I'm 17 hours into the game and I am absolutely loving it. I would highly encourage people to check it out.

Hey mangs, do you plan making a series of this game?
This game seems super interesting. I love Squad based combat. Reminds me just a bit of "Kingdom under Fire, the Crusaders"
Didn't know this would be out so soon, considering playing it myself.

I understand the enthusiasm of talking about a game you like but klok was kinda backseating hard
Much love from Ogre Battle fans
oh man this type of old 2d style RPG graphics hits me in the sweet spot.

Ogre Battle + Fire Emblem + Langrisser = Instant Buy

Bought this game thanks to your video!
Who is the guy who keeps interjecting with information nobody asked about?
I wish Mangs would do an LP of this. Bought the game, it is awesome
This game may lack production value, but it has SOUL.
Drawing looks like Exit Fate. The game looks great.
Why is this video in the playlist for Triangle Strategy?
AAAAaaaaah!
I miss Fire Emblem having maps like this, compare to their recent games maps.
"Stop trying to make 'Ahhhhh….' happen."
Sybil tucks her hair behind her eyebrow =D
this reminds me of vandal hearts
So uh, do folks like your protagonist and big paladin mommy promote or at least get the ability to get a nice gold plating at some point?
