  1. Some thoughts on the Demo in the current state. I played chapters 1-3, which are currently available in the demo. https://store.steampowered.com/app/1488200/Symphony_of_War_The_Nephilim_Saga/
TL;DR: I like it. Give it a shot.

    Story:
    didn't read lol

    Presentation:
-Everything in the main gameplay loop seems pretty good to me.
-Pixel art is nice and crisp
-Combat animations look good and are more exciting to watch because there's a ton of moving parts
-Combat sounds are pretty good and satisfying
-Portraits look kind of off and clash with the otherwise crisp sprite art
-Music was alright, didn't stand out but was fitting

    Mechanics:
-Terrain exists! Multiple movement types, terrain benefits, etc.
-Not that many tooltips or UI elements outside of the tutorial menu, which has a ton of information
-Tons of side objectives! Resources that matter! More than one thing to do on a map!
-Units are composed of many individual units that you can mix and match
-It seems like there's an incredible amount of depth with squad creation and character customization – there's a lot of potential for resource accumulation and squad construction to make cool setups
-Combat looks like there are many, many mechanics, many of which have not even yet been introduced in the demo
    -Generic units!
-Class system seems unique, but is difficult to grasp at a glance
-A lot of mechanics seem "under the hood" so it's not as straight forward as fire emblem. I didn't have trouble playing the maps as a result of the mechanics being hidden but it did bother me.

  2. I think it's so funny the point of the game seems to be to mix up squads and you decide to make single class squads. Like the healers heal mid combat and on the map and you just took them out of every squad 😂 this game looks fun I would probably be making squads for hours before combats
