Sydney rail strike, premier and rail union hold media conferences | 7NEWS



Despite days of warnings, and even a plea to work from home, there was no escaping this morning’s Sydney transport nightmare for strike-weary rail commuters.

The government and rail union held separate media conferences today. NSW Premier Dominic Perrottet, Minister for Transport David Elliott and Minister for Finance & Industrial Relations Damien Tudehope spoke at the Martin Place metro construction site. Rail, Tram & Bus Union NSW Secretary Alex Claassens spoke outside the union’s Sydney office.
