This is more an informal demonstration, and this sort of sword cutting is highlighting how sharp the blades are from the factory and how they’re engineered.
If I put in a lot of time to sharpen either of the cheaper ones, they’d cut well. However, given that most people don’t have what’s needed to sharpen swords well, demonstrating how they come from the factory makes sense.
I really need to get some swords that aren’t Viking themed…
