Sword cutting, but I'm way out of practice and using bad targets

Open to pointers and target ideas. Just thought you’d like to come along for the ridiculously out of practice ride.

  1. Pool noodles are actually great targets for training, unless your edge alignment is great it's basically not gonna do anything, so you get great feedback on your form and you don't actually lose your materials when you mess up

  2. I'm gonna be "one of those guys" just this once..lol
Cutting angle all wrong for smooth slice or chopping you somehow managed to place right in between them..
You sword isn't sharp enough for cardboard..
Non weighted stand allowing for sway or give to the target disrupting the blade and swing effects..
A blade has to be sharper to get the same effect with it on cardboard as you would need for a tatami mat roll, yet this still seemed like blunt force trauma causing the split along the cardboard tubes seams rather than actually slicing cleanly through..
And last but not least you should know better, cardboard dulls blades faster then sandpaper..

I love you and your content really but I always only seem to agree with you or enjoy the videos so I wanted to try being "one of those Internet experts" just for a day hahahahah..
Respect man and God bless you and your loved ones.. U less you're not a belief kinda guy then I don't mean to be insulting or push any religion so if the latter Is the case then just best wishes to you and yours and may you all live happy, healthy, long lives..👍❤️👍

  3. I see you didn´t try with the lightsabers. I find your lack of faith disturbing.

Jokes aside, i like your channel a lot, i was very curious to see you do more practical content and i´m very pleased. Good stuff. Love to see you spar some point in the future, if possible 🙂

  4. if everything was the same about the modern world except there were no firearms, what kind of weapons do you think soldiers would carry into battles? would it be the same as in history or would the different kind of conflicts and battle conditions of the modern world make things different you think?
