I might have missed it, but did you cover the Exodus gameplay reveal? It's looking really cool so far. The book was awesome too!
not putting that on my radar

You gotta love paying to go ad free for ads to get built into the videos themselves . It’s a special king of F you to the subscribers
The budgets for AAA games is literally money laundering for the CEO's and shareholders. I have no idea how much a AAA games developer earns a year, but for arguments sake call it $100k a year. Then add the numbers of the team on the same salary. Where is the rest of the money going? It's certainly not going back to the developers so as to keep them and their expertise in producing said game/franchise. It's all being syphoned off and the games budget is inflated so as to do exactly that. It's a well oiled criminal organised crime. Someone should investigate and pull the plug on these companies for the sake of the developers who actually do the work.
I think we are at the point where VR gaming should be good for most people who are interested. Price points are lower, some can be used as stand-alone and also with Steam VR games, included cameras are much more accurate for playable area mapping so no need for "lighthouses". Lens are much better and headset straps are better too. You can also connect to Steam VR wireless or wired(we have a Meta Quest 3) but wired works best.
Now that I have typed this out. I am super hyped to play some more Half-Life Alyx, that game is awesome.
I still miss "the drop" from layman gaming channel 😢
Windows on handheld is fine. Especially when you can mod in your own ui. I would MUCH rather have flexibility to do what I want than be stuck with steam os.
Nothing dries me up more than when I hear "extraction shooter".
8:10 not worried. While gatcha games are even more expensive than """AAA""" titles (did we have a real AAA game this decade?), they put their money back into the game, rather than the pockets of executives. AAA cannot make a gatcha game, because they can't keep their audience with constant quality.
For Honor is the best game they ever made and no one knows about it
These development budgets have to involve corruption right? Like shady people inflating production costs and just pocketing the money? Why would it take hundreds of millions of dollars to make a call of duty game? Like seriously? Nothing in those games should require 700 million dollars to create. Short campaigns and some multiplayer = almost a billion dollars? IT DOESN'T MAKE SENSE. It's either corruption or just extremely bloated corporate practices, like wasting millions of dollars on managers and roles you don't really need
I would hate is ubisoft went up in smoke 🙁
I have not followed SUPER close to all they're doing right or wrong, although some of their decisions seems very bad for everyone sadly(nft and stuff)
I just want a new Ghost Recon and The Division game, the Division 1 and 2 and ghost recon wildlands and breakpoint are some of the better games i've played.
EDIT: Far Cry 3 and 4 were also amazing
GAMERS! 2025 edition
Why do you refuse to put timestamps on your 30+ minute long videos
Welcome back bub, cheers for another one
Much love to you and the crew
Take care folks x
All those money does goes to charity, unlike another charity held by a former member of skillup bordercast
People who are still hung up over “muh anime” in big 2025 are so weird to me. Just seems so performative and outdated. Like in a G4 presenters in the mid 2000s going on rants kind of way.
Ralph, lot of American football fans find it hard to get attached to a professional team that’s 8+ hours away from them. They have more allegiance for their university team down the street or maybe an hour away.
And get this, in many areas of the US, especially Texas, HIGH SCHOOL football is as big and sometimes more important than college football. 14, 15, 16 year olds get recruited to high schools with houses and cars for their families.
The game day atmosphere at these campuses is unmatched. The hype, the traditions, the rivalries. It’s all just so infectious.
Being to take your perennial toilet paper university football team and beat the teams that always crush you allows you to experience some fleeting joy.
The Aussie mind cannot comprehend American college football
CoD games are so content poor the only thing that would make it cost over 100mil is licences for weapon names.
I can't watch rings of power without thinking about high king Shill-galad
Brilliant timing. Thank you shillup 😊
🤡🤡🤡
@Skill Up – Players who have gone pro in the NFL basically made it to where they were going. Their focus becomes staying healthy and making money. It's reflected in the plays that are called in real games, and performed in the NFL video games. College players want to get into the NFL, and they will pull out every crazy play, run, pass, etc….they can think of to stand out. Those spectacular plays are in the game. On a side note, college overtime is actually fair, too. NFL overtime decides the winner with the flip of a coin.
Ralph u missed the announcement of EVERHOOD 2 BABEEEEEEE IT'S REALLLL
Nintendo was literally waiting for Shill Up to upload a new episode so they can reaveal the Switch 2! 😭🙏
how do you spend 700 milion on a game on the same engine as the last and make mediocre garbage, the only explanation is that the leadership is spending all the money in hokers and cocain and just addet it to the company spending so that it is tax deductable because captalism
Dawnwalker looks dope. Extremely excited. As far as Switch 2 it looks pretty slick. I'm not a handheld guy. My Switch is docked 100% of the time so the actual system doesn't excite me all that much save for having more power. That's what I'm most excited to see, the games. I'm not saying visual power and graphics are everything, but they're something, especially with how ancient the Switch hardware feels at this point. Fingers crossed we get to see Metroid Prime 4 at the next Direct.
American here. Football is boring, but the college guys play the hardest. I dunno why people watch it, but you know a man whose hungry from one who has a full plate, and those college dudes were starving! Finally getting money from the deal, too.
Honest question… what is everyone going to actually miss, legit, from Ubisoft when they're gone? For me, its the Division… an MMO GoW style 3rd-person shooter is right up my alley, they just seemed to… fumble with capitalizing on it. Div2 never took off at all. The near-future Tom Clancy setting is just everything I want, and I'm so disheartened with what they did (or didn't do) with it. Actually, they did terrible capitalizing with everything Tom Clancy related, which is an absolute shame since they defined modern day dumb adventure penny novels for men (there'll be plenty who poo-poo them, but its really the same as watching a dumb action movie-enjoyable and uncomplicated for what it is with the geekiness of near-future tech… I still foresee Sum of All Fears drone and dirty nuke shenanigans, which are both terrifying and absolutely possible today).
It's crazy how Ubisoft is still trying to get NFTs in games to work. I'm pretty sure they are the only big company still trying to do it. Everyone else has rightly written off the idea since gamers have actually gave a resounding no to it.
LMao no way
Interms of lookalike, shillup does resemble Milos Raonic
