You realize your explanation of the magisters is retconned right? Corypheus, the arcitect, the orher magisters who entered the black city… they now are no longer the first darkspawn. That means the golden city was the black city when they entered probably. Them making the old gods blighted pre-inprisonment means it was pre-veil. That means the blight was likely (going off their new dogshit lore) locked away in the golden city. The gods likely baited them to the black city to release the blight in hopes of leading to their escape. It is all speculation though because the writers who made the blight pre-veil dont care about the lore.. they dont care that they retconned the LITERAL FIRST LINE FROM A DRAGON AGE GAME..

I tried to finish the game but I couldn't stand the art style and the characters talking to each other like they were 7 years old I just couldn't get past it The game was well made and the sets look really good but I just hate the art style I hate the preachy every character tells you everything nothing is left to the imagination you go to a place Oh that power unit looks like it should go here The puzzles are you're told the answer before you even start the game just sucks and it's sad because I really wanted to love this game

Honestly this is how you know whoever made veilguard never played dragon age.
1st Qunari don't have families, after they are born they are taken and raised in a sort of complex with everyone trained in what they excel at. Qunari are also wary of magic users because of the whole abomination thing and typically enslave any Qunari that can use magic to inhibit their powers.
2. DragonAge and mass Effect are the WORST games to shove these real world politics into because fanfare THEY ALREADY HAD THEM AND DID IT BETTER OVER 10 YEARS AGO.
You want to have a gay male character? Zevran, Anders, and Dorian. Want a bisexual? Liliana, Fenris, Isabella, and Ironbull. Maybe some exciting roleplay? Cassandra is a closet romantic who everyday is the no nonsense take charge leader, who wants a man to sweep her off her feet and woo her. Forbidden romance? Our no nonsense Templar Cullen has a sweet spot for mage women, in fact in origins as a female mage you can find a diologue tree that you and Cullen were in love but duty kept you two apart and the demon is torturing him pretending to be you.
Want some mixed race romance? In Dragon age 2 one of your missions is to save the son of a noble kidnapped by a qunari, only to find out that what really happened was the son ran away with his qunari husband and his closed minded father wanted him back.
But also there were Trans people in the games. In Inquisition Ironbull's second in command, Krem, is a Tevinter trans-man, born a woman but identified as a man and drops two very important pieces of lore in regards to veilguard.
1: In Tevinter transgenderism is not permitted. Krem was going to be executed for being trans until bull saved him.
2: the way to stop an execution for being Trans is to perform a ritual that would turn you into the actual gender. But Krem didn't want to be a cis-gender man, he wanted to be a trans-man because that's what he is.
And that's JUST Dragon age.
