After a come-from-behind win in Game 1 of the doubleheader, the Royals made the most of their quick trip to St. Louis by taking the nightcap as well. MJ Melendez, Salvador Perez, and Kyle Isbel all homered in the winning effort, with Peres’z blast traveling a booming 438 feet. Adam Frazier, Bobby Witt Jr., Vinnie Pasquantino, and Hunter Renfroe all drove in runs as well to back Michael Wacha in the winning effort. Angel Zerpa, John Schreiber, and Kris Bubic all tossed effective innings out of the bullpen and James McArthur came on in the 9th inning to close out his second game of the day and secure his second save of the day.

I’m your biggest fan
The Cardinals are a very strong team.
I thought it would be good to get one win.
I'm very happy that we won two games in a row.
I hope the Boston series continues like this.
