  1. Man, I just recently learned about Maple Shadows at all a couple of days ago, and was really bummed I couldn't get any. I'm super excited to hear they're releasing it again! Definitely going to pick up at least a couple of tins. It sounds delicious, and right up my alley.

  2. The artwork is from Eugene Falco of Uncanny?! Material Pipes. He is also the cohost of the Greywoodie Show Podcast. Check him out for top tier pipes, podcast media, and all of the Sutliff limited release artwork. This is not a paid advertisement.

  3. Great video, as always! One note: Autumn Evening is by Cornell & Diehl, not The Country Squire. It’s a great aromatic, as is Maple Shadows—but Country Squire also has amazing aromatics, like Picayune Pancake and Riverboat Queen!

  4. The tin looks very different from last years in the shapes they used. Also looks brighter and glossier. Once again. Not buying it for the tin art, but it’s nice that they do put in work for it. Love my Maple shadows from last year. I didn’t open it until a month or so ago and it tastes so dang good. I want to stock pile this so bad just in case they don’t release it again, but then I feel like a jerk for buying a lot of tins. I’ll probably just buy 2 like I did last year and hope they continue to release more every year.

  5. I missed this last year and I agree with you on this kind of aromatic. Dark fired makes a great "condiment". Yazoo witch from CS had a similar feel last year. My only gripe is being forced to buy 8 oz at once.

  6. Love the blend and love your review!! You did a great job explaining the flavor profile. The dark fired really does give this blend a superior edge. Incredible! I really enjoyed hearing your thoughts on it. I will definitely be snagging another tin for myself as well.

  7. Definitely must try this now. I bought a tin last year and forgot about it. Do you have any source as to new blend releases? Or do you just check all sites? I have a problem of trying to keep up. Thanks again for your good work for the pipe community.

  8. Hiyas Wilson,
Outside of Lakeland tobaccos, I am not an aromatic tobacco guy. However your excellent review of this blend certainly piques my interest. The dark fired Kentucky component intrigues me. Perhaps I will give this one a go.

  9. Everything you just commented on made me think of my favourite aromatic, Cross eyed cricket, a mild aromatic with perique and orientals. This tin aged one year is a whole other level. However, you sold me on this one. Thanks Brother. Can’t wait to try it.

  10. Picked this up when I was ar Sutliff for thier 175th Anniversary. Very good tobacco taste with a nice blend of maple taste. Burns and lights well, I rate at just under a perfect fall blend. Yes have tin on display along with the Haunted Bookshop for display.

  11. I agree that this tobacco is quite good, though I could have done with a bit more of the Dark Fired. It reminded me a bit of Cowboy Coffee by Country Squire, if CS decided to do a version with maple. Sleepy Hollow was mentioned here; I'm convinced that this blend is just renamed Sutliff's Pumpkin Spice.
