Texas Department of Public Safety Sgt. Bryan Washko said a person who drove through the Killeen mall Saturday night was shot and killed by authorities.
It started around 5 p.m. when a DPS trooper tried to pull over a person driving a black truck near the intersection of I-35 and I-14 in Belton. He refused to stop and eventually exited I-14 and drove into the Killeen parking lot and through the front doors of the JC Penney, Washko said.
Washko said a DPS trooper and Killeen Police Officer ran after the suspect as he drove several hundred yards into the mall, running over multiple people.
Four people were taken to the hospital with injuries ranging from severe to minor, Washko said. A fifth person took themself to the hospital. Washko said their ages ranged from as young as 6 to 75-year-old.

Don’t get me wrong , if I were an officer that had chased a man for 19 miles & he crashed , then got out of his car with a gun , yes he would be shot , because he obviously was not willing to be cuffed , & he is now showing intent to kill !
Having been trained in hand gun shooting , it is obvious the officer does not know the -Front Sight Rule !
Maybe if the police hadn't been chasing him in the first place, this could have been avoided??

So for all the dumb people in the comments. The vehicle is the weapon used to run over people. The cops used lethal force to stop him from continuing with that weapon. But somehow now people think.
