Suspect Named in Murder of UnitedHealthcare CEO

Police say an Ivy League graduate is the suspected gunman who killed UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson. Luigi Mangione is a data engineer with a master’s degree from the University of Pennsylvania. The 26-year-old was arrested in a Pennsylvania McDonald’s. Police say he had a gun, a silencer, fake IDs and what is described as a manifesto. The breakthrough came as police divers continued to search a lake in New York’s Central Park for items dumped by the assassin.

  1. The only victim to this whole thing that I felt bad for was the concrete sidewalk that the CEO dropped dead on, imagine how bad that sidewalk must feel, knowing its damages would still be denied by health insurance

  2. My only thing is that he is highly educated, wealthy, and connected. Why not use that to run for office, become a lawyer or doctor, or the CEO of an insurance company and reform the health care system?
