  1. A tip about the repairing of the explorer, you can send a drone manually to repair it without the commander but you need to be sure the drone is charged before going to rescue the explorer. Since he's not that far in this example, it's totally doable but once the explorer is farer, you'll have to use the commander but it's the same tip you can use: use your drone manually to repair the explorer. That way, you can keep your commander safe and drones can recharge on it if needed because if the commander is taken into a dust tornado, it's gonna be pretty bad, you really want it to be in a safe position before repairing the explorer

  2. FYI the grade shows not the amount you can mine out, that is the same regardless of the grade, but it shows how fast you can mine and how much waste rock you produce
    So a low grade will yield you low amount of resource per sol and lots of waste, while high yield will give you resource much faster per sol and produce less waste rock

  3. Ive played a max difficulty (I think its at like 1175 or 1145% now) def to the point of self sufficiency and I think to terraforming but I would have to check.

    But the early game before self sufficiency is by far the hardest part.
    as for mystery
    im not sure on St. Elmos fire but the other 3 hard mysteries its either wildfire or Metatron.
    and thinking about it, I think metatron might be the hardest mystery.

  4. Surviving Mars is a flawed game that I still have a lot of love for. Beach music was a surprisingly inspired choice for the Martian soundtrack! I am excited for this series.

    Also as I know you're not a native English speaker, being "competitive" means being able to compete with other people. Not being competitive usually implies that you're too slow, or not strong enough, or not rich enough, or that you're too far behind other people in some aspect required for the competition. In your Anno series you need to make sure you have enough military ships otherwise you won't be able to compete with the AI. That's how you would stay "competitive" in those games.
