🥒 ABOUT BEFRS:
Hey, I’m Sonny! I’m from the US but I’ve been living in Asia for 10 years and started making food and travel videos to document my experiences. I travel to different parts of the world, hunting down and documenting the most unique food each country has to offer.

If you see any factual food errors in my videos, please feel free to politely let me know in the comments. I’m a huge fan of trying different, interesting foods in each country. My show is from a Western point of view, but more importantly, MY point of view. It is not meant to offend any person or culture.

  1. It's upsetting how a thousand-year-old cultural tradition of hunting and eating whale meat is reduced to almost nothing because of international protest. That's like me growing up eating beef and chicken and being told by the international community that it is wrong and should be banned. Fuck that. How about people just mind their own dam business and let cultures continue their traditions. When 80% of your food comes imported, ur entirely dependent on someone else to bring your food. What happens when shit hits the fan? Eventually, you can't sustain a population or the eco-system with that bullshit.

  2. Windmills are killing Whales up and down the American Eastern seaboard. If environmentalists actually care about Whales, they will stop the Windmills. That is getting to be a bigger threat to sea life than the Faroe Islands are.

  3. I have to say: "Thank you so much!"
Because of some health shit reasons, I'm not able anymore, to travel arround the world and make these kind of experiences, you know what I mean…
That channel is giving me so much strengh to hold on and anyhow a chance to see what I am not able to see anymore. I think thats also a point for any people, who doesent have the financial opportunity to travel arround the world. Please (the whole Team) stay as you are…

  4. I'm from The Netherlands, not that far away from the Faroe Islands. Yet all I knew about this place was that they let sheep meat ferment. I really enjoyed this series, there are many exciting, exotic places in the world but this shows that even within Europe, there is so much fascinating food and culture (and stunning nature) still to discover. I also appreciate the way you handled the sensitive topic of the whale hunt. Nice work!
