  12. Amen. When you pray for patience, it will be tried. So, why are you asking God why you’re going through something then, or why He’s allowing this? Did you forget you asked him for patience? Asking God for patience, or faith will build endurance & character in us. So unless you’re seriously ready to begin this work that you’ve asked for won’t come easy, but if endured til the end will bring great rewards in this life & the next. God won’t leave you to do this on your own, & will supply the Grace, strength, & love to equip you to accommodate the task set before you. So continue, & don’t give up. Know that He will not leave you, & he will help you in, through & out of the storm to the other side.

  16. Help me any fellow Christian brother or sister… I've battled with this aspect psychological, even though I agree with it spiritually. I've always had this battle in my mind where I've said, "How come God doesn't act like a Dad, even though He always calls Himself our Father?" For instance. I'm training my son in combat so in case he needs to defend himself against some enemy one day, he will have the capability of handling the situation in favour of his life being safe. Now testing is necessary for the release of fear and for him to gauge he's weaknesses, so that he knows what to focus on in training. But that's just it… You cannot place your kid in the ring first against an opponent and train him in the pit, expecting him to become a competent fighter. I feel I wish I had God like this in my corner, where he first gives me the necessary skills and tools I get to practice being a competent combatant against the attacks of the enemy. But instead it's like Reese says, you pray for faith and boom, you're in the ring and the fight is on, learn to fight or fall victim to your fears. We're all not the same right? So each of us need different training methods, just as I will teach my daughter differently because she has a different personality with different strengths and different weaknesses. It doesn't make her weaker, she just needs a different methodology and she will find her strength in a totally different way.

    But with me as a single dad. Everyday feels like when I ask give me the strength to go on another day with fresh eyes and an increase in my belief that things will turn around, then I have to fight first before I'm trained to be equipped to handle the situations without it bringing me to near suicide each time. This is also me confessing that this is the reason I keep backsliding. Not God's fault. It's all on me.
