  1. This is why Superman sucks in all aspects. He's strong enough to lift the heavens in one comic, and in the very next comic he can barely beat a B grade villain. His strength and powers are completely dependent on who's writing the story. There is no consistency to his strength or powers, to the point he might as well just be a gag character 🤷‍♂️

  2. People like to make fun of Superman for many understandable reason, but they always forget the fact why he was created.
Superman was supposed to be what Spiderman is. A man who is good out of goodness sake. A man who has incredible power and uses it for good reasons, something that was almost unthinkable in 1938 and what people wanted USA to be for the world.
Then Marvel created Spiderman, who is the same, but relatable. Sure he has spider powers and whatnot, but Spiderman is supposed to be what Superman is, without having power to destroy the world if he flies too fast.
Btw. I find it funny that modern comics give Sups more dark stories because, well, let’s be honest, if you have a lot of power you will do some questionable bs from time to time, even if you save the world most of the time.

  3. Superman's sense of duty, his willingness to sacrifice himself to protect life, is stronger than his muscles.

I did come away from this feeling sorry for Atlas, though. No burden or punishment should be forever.

  4. These are the stories that the DCU or whatever they want to call themselves, should make. Positive stories like these inspire everyone. It doesn't have to be the whole movie, but a part of it. Superman inspires hope, and the best in our huma potential. What does DC want to do? They want to make him seem like he hates humanity and why he is here. Just look at that picture james gunn posted for his version of superman. Talk about hating being a part of this planet. My problem is everyone focusing on the suit. Who cares about the damn suit, it's the man wearing the suit that inspires, not the suit! james gunn sucks and so does the studio who hired him. I will not pay to see a dour, sour, angry looking superman, ever! they will not get one cent of my money, ever. Go stupid go broke! We the fans have tolerated enough disrespect form these ass-clowns.

  5. This is stupid and a shining example of bad writing. A hero without recognisable and realisable crutch to overcome is a boand and boring character and made up to full fill your dull fantasies.

He'd like to come and meet us

But he thinks he'd blow our minds

There's a starman waiting in the sky

He's told us not to blow it

'Cause he knows it's all worthwhile"

  7. Atlas and the wisdom of his strength aren't just holding up the Havens itself it's a task and he is powerful a god, so Superman is the strongest person in the solar system his powers are solar-based entirely from the sun his strength and his mass is solar energy. Superman is considered a demi-god by many but according to him his a human and is also from a different planet he looks like a human and lives like a human and spiritually has his heart on his sleeve as a humble human, but his birth world Krypton was advanced and had super scientific knowledge and used it to seek out life in the universe and he Superman is an alien living on earth helping people and around the globe not as a god but as a good man who always holds up his humanity on his shoulders as flies he is Superman powerful yes but he isn't a god his Clark Kent Kal El a hero and husband and humanitarian. And weights the multiverse on his shoulders.
