Stealth China campaign caused Japan to collapse after three posted episodes. He really smashed their fleet and somehow it caused their income to plummet from $100 Million to $13 Million, to -$13 Million to collapse. Something had an VERY unexpected impact on the economy, or some combination of things. Oh he was destroying transports and that had -3% growth. But not -60% lol. It was hilarious!

Um, you don't get to claim that you are not scrapping or selling ships when you intentionally suicide them into a superior pair of ships just to do some damage if it can. That is selling the ship for damage.
Now, because no humans were harmed by this, it's not illegal but still highly immoral for any would-be fleet commander to sacrifice so many pixellated lives just for a minor shift in database numbers. I hope their electron ghosts haunt you for eternity! Meanie!
BTW, this was irrational as well. You spent money recently to upgrade those ships and they are still very capable. You could have just as easily sent this ship the long way around to kill the transports and let your BB dissasemble the BC's which were clearly inferior to your BB. Just because you have no faith in your battleships doesn't mean it wasn't still built better than what the AI can build.
The AI still hates destroyers …….. Ive gone so far as to exploit it been making destroyers with speed a couple guns and a torp launcher thats it nothing else basically keep the cost as low as possible and just use them to distract ……… I figure if they live long enough for my captial ships to range in and lure some torp lsunches out of the enemy theyve done their job ……… Ruthless i know but when your Battleship classes are called "Apocalypse" "Retrubution" and "Emperor" , your Battlecruisers "Mars" and "Overlord" you can guess the theme

Me as a typically Spanish player "Jesus AI Spain you must ally with and hide behind the French's skirt , and sure you need some cheap destroyers so you have something everywhere but after that youve gotta build your destroyers to fight cruisers (well everything actually) , light cruisers to fight armoured/heavy cruisers and armoured/heavy cruisers to fight capital ships , the no capital ships i can kind of understand allthough i like 2 run 4 a pair of battleships and a pair of battlecruisers when you can afford it" stupid AI …….. Spain is tough but rewarding , an alliance with France is almost mandatory though i'd say , you cant deal with the land invasion into Spain proper , well not without restoring the Empire plus some more
41:30 yeh mk 3 12" and 13" are "the" guns for a fair while , i dont know if this is a problem though ? Like once the mk 3s hit the bigger calibres it soon escalates to 16" mk3s and 14" and 15" mk3s pretty much just get skipped , kind of feel those 2 calibres could appear a step or two earlier in the tech tree ……. Dont know about 17"+ i dont really play the big 3 or have campaigns go that long

Balearic Islands Taken!

The Flotte de Marseille and the Fusiliers Marins have taken the Balearic Islands with the critical Station navale of Mallorca.
Landings have also begun against the Spanish-held port of Guantanamo on the island of Cuba. Less then two dozen men on both sides have died yet.
The Corps des Amériques has begun the liberation of Nicaragua, attacking from our department of Honduras.
Battle of Mers el Kebir
Le Républicain Provence, Marseille
MCMXVI, 25 March 1916
The Tonnante class Croiseur Cuirassés Tonnant from the Nice Station navale in Alpes-Maritimes, joined up with the Troude, lead of her Frégate class, from the Saint Florent Station navale and the Aspirant Herber class Destroyer torpilleur Tiralleur from the Bonifacio Station navale in Corsica, then proceeded across the Mediterranean to run patrols with the Aspirant Herber class Destroyer torpilleur Oriflamme from the Tunis Station navale in Tunisia along the North African coast. They were near Mers el Kebir when they found a convoy of eleven C-Class 14.7 thousand ton 93 manned armed Navires de transport.
Sighting smoke from the funnels of a dozen ships to the north-east, Oriflamme took off with Tiralleur following to find the, the Croiseur and Frégate following each at their best speed. They found the Navires de transport and began to corral them, hold at range to avoid the guns mounted on the C-class. Tonnant came up and now the convoy began to take serious damage. Conejera sank with 83 of her 93 man crew. San Dámaso surrendered after taking 42 casualties. Emperador Carlos V surrendered after taking 41. Sirena surrendered after taking just 37 casualties. Ariete surrendered after taking 41 causalties.
Pólux was hit hard and sank with 90 of her 93 man crew. Santa Rita surrendered after taking 39 casualties. Alessandrio Poerio was sunk with 91 casualties. Republica and Lazaga sank with 82 casualties each. The convoy leader surrendered after taking 42 casualties.
Amount the 354 survivors collected out of the waters of the Med, many complained that two Cruçeros de 3a Clas of the Armada Real Española, the Santa Rosalia and Antonio Ulloa had been tasked with guarding them, but had fled at the sight of funnel smoke closing at warship speeds on them. Their lack of diligence allowed the raiders to sink 147 thousand tons of shipping capacity. The Spanish Merchant Marine also lost 669 officers and seamen in the attack.
Battle of Oporto

MCMXVI, 23 March 1916
The Tricolore class Croiseur Léger Lapérouse from the Mers el Kebir Station navale and the Aspirant Herber class Destroyer torpilleur Tigre from the Algiers Station navale in Northern Algeria went on a mission into the North Atlantic to scourge the waters of Portugal of Spanish commerce. Off Oporto they found the Royal Belgian Navy escorting seven Spanish Navires de transport. The escorts included the Hernán Cortés class Cruçeros de 3a Clas Reina Regente, three Relámpago class Destructores de torpederos, the Miño, Pronto, and Zaragoza. With them was the Relámpago class 1912 refit Destructor de torpederos Águila of the Armada Real Española.
Lapérouse and Tigre spotted the funnel smoke of a dozen ships to the north and moved to investigate. When they sighted the escorts closing on them, and identified them as enemies, Lapérouse turne west to gain sea room and open her broadside, then began to fire. Tigre continued to close, identifying smoke on the water as hiding more light ships. Tigre launched her torpedo at the smoke and the ship inside it turned to avoid them. This is when Tigre sighted the convoy and pumped three 80mm shells into the hiding ship. This sank the Águila with 81 of her 95 man crew. Tigre having lost hull integrity in her bow, was ordered to retreat with 3 casualties.
Lapérouse was coming up and cut between the retreating Tigre and the Belgian ships. Reina Regente came out of the smoke and Lapérouse engaged her. As the smoke cleared Lapérouse cloud see all four of the Belgian ships. With Reina Regente closing Lapérouse was soon getting solid hits. To break up the Belgian ships Lapérouse launched her starboard torpedo strike. A tight launch, it sent behind Reina Regente and behind the last Destructor as well. The Zaragoza, Pronto, and Miño were not yet trying to close on Lapérouse. Reina Regente, who was, had drawn all the fire from Lapérouse and sank with 182 of her 200 man crew.
Finally Zaragoza turned her division to close on Lapérouse. Lapérouse’s 155mm and 80mm guns quickly sank Zaragoza with 93 of her 95 man crew. As Pronto and Miño closed on Lapérouse the French Croiseur launched a second strike of torpedoes. These missed but Lapérouse put hits on Pronto and Miño and they broke away, burning smoke to hide their course.
Lapérouse then ran down the convoy, sinking the Argonauta, Victoria, San Andrés, Catalán, Villaamil, Angel de la Guarda, and Poderoso. A total of 35 thousand tons of shipping capacity, 160 officers and seamen killed, and 29 captured. Tigre came back and picked up the 14 survivors of Águila while Lapérouse picked up the 20 Belgian survivors. Lapérouse had 63 casualties.
The Battle of Jade Bight

MCMXVI, 17 March 1916
The Invincible class Cuirassé de 1er rang Gauloise, from the Brest Base navale principale in Finistère Department joined the Tonnere, lead of her Croiseur Cuirassés class, from the La Rochelle Base navale in Charente-Maritime Department, on a bold commerce raid into the Jade Bight, the bay on which the Base navale principale of the Deutsches Völksmarine on the North Sea was located Wilhelmshaven at Wilhelmshaven, to intercept a convoy of seven 13 thousand ton Navires de transport escorted by two Hindenburg class Kampfkreuzter, the class lead Hindenburg and the König Wilhelm.
Gauloise sighted the enemy to the north-east and opened fire. She then turned to open her broadside and invited the two Kampfkreuzter to close into it. Tonnere closed straight in, drawing the fire of the Germans while Gauloise turned to the north-west to match the enemy. The Navires de transport began to appear as Tonnere closed.
Tonnere then received orders to close and attempt torpedo strikes on König Wilhelm and Hindenburg. Unfortunately in her close she lost her forward torpedo tube. Now committed, she cut through the gap between König Wilhelm and Hindenburg so fast that König Wilhelm could train her guns on Tonnere. Hindenburg used the only weapon she could bring to bear on Tonnere, her bow, shoving Tonnere out of her way. Hindenburg launched her starboard topedo into Tonnere but it failed to arm. Tonnere timed hers better, launching her aft torpedo with enough room to arm. She hit Hindenburg on her main belt starboard side. The ramming had ripped open Tonnere from behind her main tower forward to her bow, and four compartments were unalterably flooded.
König Wilhelm came around and launched her starboard torpedo into Tonnere, getting a hit on her main belt. Tonnere sank with 1077 of her 1088 man crew.
König Wilhelm and Hindenburg were now closing on Gauloise, who was skipping shells off König Wilhelm’s deck. Pulling away improved her ballistics and Gauloise began to put hits into König Wilhelm. Pounding away, taking as many hits but doing more damage, Gauloise sank König Wilhelm with 764 of her 899 man crew. Hindenburg tried to do better, but as she came out of the shadow and smoke of König Wilhelm’s sinking wreck Gauloise found her. Gradually Gauloise increased the number and strength of her hits per salvo. Hindenburg was flooding fore and aft as well as under her secondary tower. The water forward was breaching bulkheads. Hindenburg couldn’t fight the rising water and soon four compartments aft were fully flooded. Hindenburg sank with 888 of her 899 man crew. Her last torpedo launch just missing Gauloise.
Gauloise had taken 277 casualties, but was able to retrieve the 11 survivors of Tonnere along with 135 prisoners from the Kampfkreuzter.
The Navires de transport had gotten into Wilhelmshaven during the battle.
Battle of Chemulp'o

MCMXVI, 12 March 1916
In the Yellow Sea off the coast of Korea near Chemulp'o two Hindenburg class Kampfkreuzter, the Prinz Adalbert and Graf Spee, cruised through the water. Having occupied the north-east quarter of Korea, they felt as if the coastal waters of the otherwise independent country were theirs. They didn’t reckon on the Koreans passing Deutsches Völksmarine movement information to the Marine Nationale.
The Jeanne d'Arc class Grands éclaireur d’escadre Couronne from the Haichow Station navale on Northeast China, the Alsace class Grands éclaireur d’escadre Victoire along with the Cosmao class Croiseur Léger Forfait from the Xiamen Station navale in Southern China, the Tonnere class Croiseur Cuirassés Chanzy, the Troude class Frégate Cassard, and the Hova class Destroyer torpilleur Guépard from the Keelung Station navale in Formosa, along with the Hova class Destroyer torpilleur Kabyle from the Tianjin Station navale in Northeast China and the Aspirant Herber, lead of her Destroyer torpilleur class, from the Tsingtau Base navale régionale in Kiautschou Bay were dispatched to sink the two Kampfkreuzter.
Aspirant Herber, Guépard, and Kabyle closed on the enemy to the north while the éclaireurs d’escadre and the Croiseurs formed battle lines. Prinz Adalbert and Graf Spee closed on the battle lines. Aspirant Herber took a hit from Prinz Adalbert that started her flooding aft. She launched her torpedoes in return then turned away. Prinz Adalbert wasn’t letting her leave unmolested, and Aspirant Herber was now flooding fore and aft. Guépard was up and she launched on Prinz Adalbert before retiring. Prinz Adalbert sank Aspirant Herber with two more 112.2mm shells, sending the Destroyer torpilleur to the bottom with 82 of her 95 man crew.
Prinz Adalbert began hitting Kabyle as she closed to launch torpedoes. Kabyle was flooding fore, aft, and amidships when she launched her three torpedoes. Aspirant Herber’s torpedoes has missed Prinz Adalbert but ran long and one hit Graf Spee on her main belt, taking out #2 engine. Guépard’s torpedoes also missed Prinz Adalbert. Kabyle sank with 117 of her 123 man crew. Her torpedoes were also heading out.
Guépard’s torpedoes found Graf Spee and two hit and exploded, taking out Graf Spee’s main powder magazine and inflicting over 100 casualties. Graf Spee began listing hard to starboard. Then Kabyle’s torpedoes reached Prinz Adalbert and one hit on the aft belt, setting off another ammo detonation. Prinz Adalbert also lost her 217.7mm powder magazine and 40 men. Both Kampfkreuzter were lucky not to have flash fires. Graf Spee sank with 782 of her 899 man crew. Victoire led Couronne in to finish Prinz Adalbert, but the victory belonged to the Destroyers torpilleur. Guépard was still afloat and fighting massive damage to her. With nothing bigger left to fight with, Prinz Adalbert was closing on Guépard to finish her with secondary guns. Couronne put a 320mm shell into Prinz Adalbert and finished her, saving Guépard. Prinz Adalbert sank with all but 7 of her 899 man crew.
Despite the incredible amount of damage she had taken Guépard had only 17 casualties. There were 13 survivors of the Aspirant Herber found and 6 from Kabyle.
124 German officers and sailors were found as well.
Battle of the Gulf of Venezuela

MCMXVI, 8 February 1916
The Bruix class Croiseur Cuirassés Imprenable from the Fort de France Base navale régionale in French Antilles and the Hova class Destroyer torpilleur Arabe from the Maracaibo Station navale in Venezuela were on commerce raiding in the Caribbean near the Columbian coast when they found the Isabel Francisca Cruçeros de 3a Clas Don Antonio de Ulloa escorting two Diamante class 15 thousand ton 98 manned 107.1mm armed Navires de transport in the Gulf of Venezuela near the port of Maracaibo trying to smuggle weapons into Venezuela to encourage an insurrection.
Imprenable spotted the funnel smoke to the north-west, and knowing all the permitted traffic in the area, ascertained that this was an enemy intrusion. Arabe moved forward to investigate and found two ships. They were armed and drove Arabe off, leaving Imprenable to settle the situation.
Imprenable slowly closed on Diamante and Buenaventura, taking out the latter’s 107.1mm magazine and flooding her forward. Buenaventura sank with 87 of her 98 man crew. Imprenable then chased down Diamante and sank her with 87 of her crew.
Arabe took 5 casualties but helped to rescue the 22 survivors of Diamante and Buenaventura.
41:29 I unlocked Mark 3 14s before I even got 15s 16s or anything more in base game. And this is 1909.
