  1. On the TD Mahomes said Skyy was on wrong the side πŸ˜† I like that Reid gave Bienemy credit for the game plan hopefully he can be a coordinator for another team. Sometimes it sounds like Reid is trying to push him out the door πŸ˜†
    Great win Chiefs πŸ†

  2. I saw the first half differently. I didn’t think the Chiefs defense made it easy on them at all. The first drive took 11 plays and the eagles converted two third downs in the drive. Then, the way the Chiefs drove down the field I could tell they were going to be able to do whatever they wanted in the game. The next possession was a 3 and out stop by the Chiefs defense, and then the offense easily drive down again only to miss a field goal. The next eagles possession was the bomb to AJ Brown, I thought it was covered well but McDuffie kind of stumbled and didn’t play the ball well. Now it’s 14-7 but should be 14-10. The next possession was a 3 and out with a questionable no call PI on Juju. The next eagles possession was the Nick Bolton scoop and score, now it’s 14-14, could be 17-14, but the eagles had worked really hard on one scoring drive and completed a deep TD that was pretty good coverage. The problem at this point, is the Chiefs defense had been on the field for most of the half, with no break after the defensive TD. Now the Eagles pulled off another long scoring drive, converting a 3rd down and 2-4th downs, one helped by penalty. All credit to them, but I didn’t see it as being dominant to this point, a one score lead but a lot of possession. The next Chiefs possession was killed by a false start. That’s it, 4 possessions in the first half and should have scored on two of them, the defense had made a stop, scored a TD, and got the Eagles to multiple 3rd and 4th down situations that they had to convert. They ended up with a field goal before half but I knew with the Chiefs deferring the coin toss, an opening second half TD drive and they would be right back in the game. And that’s what happened, game on, and I really didn’t think it looked as bad as some people are making it out to be. They scored on every possession in the second half and held the eagles to 11. 8 possessions total, only two really went nowhere, and because of penalties and a questionable no call. The defense made enough stops to keep them in the game, and the offense was never really stopped, not by the eagles defense anyway. That’s how I saw it.

  5. CHIEFS THE LESSER TEAM???????? Very well could have went to 5 straight SuperBowls (a play here or there, notwithstanding) against a 1 Year Team. When KC offense was on the field, the Eagles's defense didn't do anything great: 0 Sacks, 0 Turnovers, 2 Punts, 2 wide-open TD scores. KC DEFENSE: 2 Sacks, 1 Turnover (split-second from almost 2) 1 wide-open TD, many contested passes. KC: Longest Punt Return in SB. Β

The only real thing the Eagles had was the QB and his Sneaks; without all those successful sneaks, this game is completely different. CHIEFS WERE THE BETTER TEAM!!!!

  7. Andy got those plays from Doug Peterson, then gave them to EB to install. Crazy Doug chose to help Andy against the Eagles, huge narrative not being covered.

  8. I have never heard two guys stroke each others egos and act like they predicted the outcome while saying nothing meaningful. The final score of this game was 38-35 both teams made plays and put lots of points on the board! It was such a well played game by both teams that it took 58 minutes for the first pass interference/holding penalty in the game to be called. The last team with the ball and a reasonable amount of time on the clock won the game. Pretty straight forward!

  9. Hey Chris! Love thw pod but I will disagree with you on one thing. It's not a Dynasty yet. You need 3 to be a Dynasty. And I would also say you need 3 in 6 years to be a Dynasty. But that's my opinion

  10. Chris broke down the penalty at the end of the game perfectly. If you had your viewing experience ruined by the referees making a call on a penalty, well that's pain that will pass.

  11. RE the field quality – check the record… Chiefs complained significantly after that first game of the season. Players compared it to them laying sod over sand. All players, defense and office, were slipping like crazy in the paint in particular. Horrible choice for Superbowl location – lucky no significant injuries! (side note – Cardinals prob didn't get much of a home field advantage during their miserable year)

  12. Chris … the reason they blitzed Mahomes on the goal line on 3rd and 3 was because of the weirdness from last years AFC Championship Game and how it worked for the Bengals… Mahomes had 2 plays then where he was someone other than Mahomes…

  13. Here's a stat for you….. Go look up Patrick Mahomes's and Also sack per attempt rate and Tom Brady's vs. every other quarter back in the NFL. You'll notice that Mahomes and Brady are the two least sacked quarterbacks of all time. What surprised me was that Joe Burrow was in the top 4 of most sacked quarterbacks but was still able to generate a high win percentage for the most part…. He has been to two AFC titles games in a row… He was able to win one of them but lost the other (to the KC Chiefs) and Also lost a Superbowl appearance ( to L. A. Rams) due to that high sack per attempt ratio.
