The hour of temptation is coming upon all the world and those that dwell upon the earth. This shows a two way work which will touch both the systematic arrangement and order of activities on the earth and also touch men’s souls. The speakings of the Lord which are the daily benefits He loads our soul with is to build within us a good foundation against the time to come so we will be able to stand against evil.
Psalm 87:1 speaks of God’s foundation being laid in the holy mountain, which is Zion. Just as there is a physical Zion on the earth, there is also the Zion which is in the present heavens. These and all other physical and heavenly topographies (including The Heavenly & New Jerusalem) are replicated as substances, contents and materials found in the person of Jesus Christ for a commensurate raising of a good foundation in us.
It takes clean hands and a pure heart to ascend the hill of the Lord. A soul that has attained this state is referred to as a godly edifice. Such a soul has come to faith unfeigned, and charity which proceeds from a pure heart. He is not carnally minded, unstable and double minded. But by the Word, He is girdled in his mind; possessing good conscience and sound mind, not lowering the standards of life in God. This is our spiritual warfare against thoughts, high things and imaginations that makes us unstable and double minded.
