To me this is symbolic of the entire group of chancers we have had running the country since 2016. None of them have a clue about public service. Or have any gravitas. They all seem to have no idea of what competence looks like let alone being able to demonstrate any. Every single individual at Conservative HQ including Rishi’s advisers, knew about the 80th Anniversary of D-Day and no doubt, he already knew about the event and its impossible to believe it was not brought to his attention. The buck stops with Rishi – it was he who decided to leave early to run to ITV and even they are appalled at his behaviour. The desperation for his second power grab is evident. The ‘man’ is an absolute disgrace.

It’s so sad! My grandad was killed in the D Day landings on June the 6th. Shortly after that my mother was born Grandad never knew my mom, never knew my grandmother was having a baby! Know I have to ask the question, did grandad die in vain? Was it all pointless? Will his sacrifice ever be appreciated, when a prime minister who isn’t even native to this country can’t even be bothered to stay at the commemorations. All so sad and ultimately pointless! My uncle died on that beach. Fishy Rishi showed imense disrespect to those who gave their lives on that day. His lame excuse was that his itinerary was set weeks ago and he couldn't change it. My question to him would be how many YEARS ago was the 80th anniversary of the D-day Landings set into his itinerary ? It is an event which should have been in his itinerary for years and carved in stone so it could not be changed. The truth is he could no care less.
Sunak's reputation could hardly sink any lower.
