If for not that there is no point in Sukuna switching from Yuji to Megumi cuz Yuji's body is physically on a whole other level compared to Megumi and we don't even know how Sukuna's gonna bypass infinity without ten shadows. Sukuna held back his true technique just cuz currently up until now, only mahoraga's adaptation is the reason for Gojo's defeat. Sukuna needed Mahoraga to adapt to Gojo's infinity and domain so that he could copy Mahoraga's adaption on his own moves. So Sukuna was understanding Gojo so that he could cut through infinity and receive god tier buffs of slashing the world.
That’s just not true, Sukuna absolutely needed the 10 shadows mainly Mahoraga to defeat Gojo which is the whole reason he took over Megumi’s body. Also Gojo’s own arrogance cost him because he wanted to fight Sukuna head on instead of utilizing better strategy to catch Sukuna off guard by working together with the other grade 1 sorcerers. After the initial hollow purple he should’ve teleported behind Sukuna and used his DE.
Sakuna held off Gojo until he could learn how to cut through infinity from Mahoraja. It was a play he had in the works since the early chapters of the mqnga. And just like we've seen before, as strong as Gojo is, when someone's playing chess he's playing checkers. But hopefully he actually learned, and this is all just part of some plan.
