Me after spending years getting the message rammed down my throat and my beloved heroes and myths and fictional stories and escapism tarnished corrupted and sacrificed In the name of false inclusiveness:
"They invade our comics and we fall back They assimilate entire films and TV shows and heroes and our beloved characters that are supposed to inspire us and yet we fall back WELL THE LINE MUST BE DRAWN HERE THIS FAR NO FURTHER!!!!! AND I WILL MAKE THEM PAY FOR WHAT THEVE DONE!
This just needed to be batman in metropolis, trying to save the justice league from brainiac and save the world. Batman using his contingency plans against the justice league would be peak as a game, especially as an arkham game. If they wanted to make it online, bring in the bat-family.
Blame it on the company WB they need to make better decisions
Another YouTuber that I'm subscribed to commented on a video about the Suicide Squad game and rightfully placed the blame on Sweet Baby Inc but for some reason it caused the reviewer to go berserk against them. I won't say which YouTuber it is but just a warning you might be in for some hateful comments.
While Sweet Baby Inc and their handling of Batman in SSKTJL are certainly a factor in the failure of this game, I don't believe they deserve all the blame. There are so many other factors, such as the choice to make this game a live service shooter game, the gameplay reveals looking terrible, the UI filling up the screen with so much information, the fact that WB has tried so hard to push the Suicide Squad without them ever really catching on, and the fact that you were having to kill the Justice League as C-list characters (minus Harley who's become A-list somehow) instead of getting a game where you play as the Justice League. The choices from Rocksteady and WB are just as much to blame as Sweet Baby Inc's story choices. I had already decided I wouldn't waste my money on this game long before the leaks of Batman being shot in the head came out. That was just the nail in the coffin. That's my two cents anyway.

so much of this rant can be applied to ….most of the gaming industry at this pooint and that is just depressing to think about. Gaming is such a beautiful and wonderful artform that has done so many cool things over the years and the modern state of the industry…just sucks
Is Luke the same Luke as the moderator of the Batman arkhamverse forums back in the 2010, way back before arkham city had come out. It was full of topics about all kind of speculation and ideas for the arkham city and arkham knight after that.
I remember drawing a picture on the site of batmans fear multi takedown that was later implemented in arkham knight.
Can't be sure they got the idea from me but I remember luke or the other moderator told rocksetady workers back then were reading fans ideas and wishes alot on the website.
I came up with that idea from hitman absolution, so maybe they did also. In my picture Batman used also batarangs for multitakedown.
Another idea of mine was that when you do normal takedown where you hear enemie's bones crack, is that it would turn to detective mission shortly during the animation to show the damage, similar to mortal kombat😅. They didn't implement that idea though. Would have been too brutal I guess.
You know I grew up watching Kwing Arkham videos. Heck I grew up playing the Arkham games. You need to do better Rocksteady, because you just massacred your universe.
Last time I checked you're meant to uproot the weeds, not hand over your entire garden.
I just wish they had made a superman game be it a single game or trilogy which could have ended with clark meeting Arkham batman and start to set up the justice league with wonder woman as the next game

Wasted what could’ve been kevin’s final batman Arkham game where the plot is from Batman’s perspective and he has to stop the brainwashed justice league as well as contending with waller and her kill squad. So for example imagine batman is trying to stop brainwashed superman from killing innocents while AT THE SAME TIME protecting Superman from the suicide squad trying to eliminate him. Could’ve been an amazing final third person arkham game but instead they wasted the last chance (they didn’t know of course) of kevin starring as the true batman one last time. what a failure of a company on every level and every division even the animated division is crumbling with those mediocre tomorrowverse animated films. Please god just remove dc’s corpse from wb’s clutches lol
I 100% percent agree with everything you said. We told them that we didn't want this and that it was going to suck but they just wouldn't listen.
Strange thing is that a lot of recent games that have been involved with sweetbaby has been good like God of War Ragnarok and Spider-man 2.
At least we still have injustice 3 to look forward to. I know it’s not Rocksteady, but it’s the next big DC project lined up.
Rocksteady CHOSE to add story elements that the consultants gave. Regardless of the story issues, the gameplay and game design is all on Rocksteady and Warner Brothers than Sweet Baby Inc.
A lot a people begged for another Arkham game so they listen they should of left it were it ended

Hopefully this will be a massive warning for companies, AVOID SWEET BABY INC AT ALL COSTS!!!! And if not, well, there's the old games that we can still play. I'm playing through the Arkham Trilogy again.

Man im so tired of this nonsensical "dei and wokeness" bs arguement about why the game was bad. The problems go way beyond a meh story. Its a shame Rocksteady got given a herculean task and got the blunt of the blame when they had to listen to their bosses who were too busy counting the non existent money they thought they would have from a live service instead of paying attention to the studios strengths
Spiderman and batman are my favorite superheroes.while I'm glad Spiderman is doing great it makes me sad to see how arkham is doing. It's like seeing a childhood friend turn to drugs.
while sweet baby likely made a few changes to the story that made the quality worse, we need to remember they weren't they key writers behind this game, if they weren't involved, the story would still be utter crap, the writers to blame are rocksteady's very own writers, they wrote the garbage story of arkham knioght, and they wrote the trash fire that is suicide squad, people need to know where they should direct their criticism at otherwise the main problem people just slide by
This goes beyond just batman but DC games in general where's the green arrow game, Flash, superman or greenlantern and the question where are those?
They made me love gaming but now they are making me happy to see their downfall
