  1. This is THE TOPIC. I'm an artist with back/neck issues. I just got the Branch ergonomic after weeks of chair research madness. It's more buget friendly, especially if you can get one used like new. It's very adjustable. Can lean back pretty far. I can curl my legs up onto it. The front isn't so sloped that I slide forward. I just wish the arm rest were padded. This is the closest to normal and still comfortable sitting I've ever done.

  2. gaming chairs come from china an are cheaper i wont spend more on a chair than a fucking GPU! 150$ was enough, it's clunky, few features and squeaked from day one when swinging/rocking it, but dam these 25kg tall 21" depth seat with retractable feet rest and 180% reclining capability although never needed, straight from taiwan i dont need more than 30 day guarantee in case of defect from the factory only cuz this heavy clunky ass chairs are indestructible

  3. For everyone who's curious, the emotions you feel while watching this horrible, shitty segment is pretty close to having an autistic or BPD meltdown.

That's maybe also because I had one.

  4. Used an Aeron everyday for around 2 years. They are okay. Prevented my broken tailbone from hurting but not leisurely at all. You can only sit in the correct position which gets uncomfy after a while.

Secretlabs titan evo 2022 is my fave. It's insanely good.

  5. This was painful to watch. Not because it was boring, because as a 6'2" 250+lb guy, I went through this same stunlock for ~3 months nearly 3 years ago.
    – Sliding forward: he finally hit the issue of seatpan depth. This is so very important. Width, too, for us big boys. Most chairs are ~16/17". Look for 19 – 21".
    – Headrest: you need this. Whether or not you plan on actually resting your head, it makes the chair more supportive, esp. around the shoulders. Highback chairs can work as well, but that is hit or miss.
    – Mesh back: absolutely important for warm ppl. But also mesh seat, or a more cushioned fabric seat. Leather gaming chairs are an absolute joke.
    – 4D armrests: if you type a ton, armrests that can move up/down, forward/backward, side/side, and rotate clockwise/counter-clockwise are very important. The latter I did not know about until over halfway through my research. It allows your arms to be entirely supported while typing, and not get the forearm pinch that most arm rests suffer from. Also, buy armrest cushions since most 4D armrests are flat and hard. Fixed armrests, like the Serta, are garbage.

The absolute best advice I can give is to find a good ergonomic desk survey to go over all of the specs of your current arrangement. It will help you identify the aspects you need to focus on when looking for a new chair / desk.
