Submarine deal represents how ‘strong’ AUKUS alliance is

The AUKUS submarine deal signals “how strong the US, Australia, and UK alliance” is, says Geneva Centre for Security Policy’s Jim Fanell.

“People aren’t gonna sit by any longer and watch Xi and the Chinese Communist Party basically operate without the world reacting to them,” Mr Fanell told Sky News host Chris Kenny.

“The single largest naval build up since World War II has been by the People’s Republic of China.”

  1. This is all total lying rubbish. Isn't it? The submarine things itself is window dressing. Isn't it? It could be tractor or toys. Unimportant. What is really going on is Aus licking American arse. It is all about the supposed 'alliance'. If we built them ourselves – which we should – would it merit all this? Nope. Not a fraction of it.
It is all about the arse licking.
And that's where it is lying rubbish. Because America will help no one. America never did, never will, is not doing.
Our defence from Asia, Indonesia, China, whatever, is good sensible relationships. Symbiotic relationships.
Back up by nuclear weapons of our own AND – PRIMARILY – AN UNDEFEATABLE DELIVERY SYSTEM.
i.e. don't contemplate nuking us, easy target as we are, only two main cities, because we'll nuke you back.
That'd be the last of last resorts.
First and middle and well towards the end: simple good relationships as Australia's population, businesses, etc., etc, grow inexorably more international and reflective of the modern world. i.e. lose their so distinctive Australian (american arse licking) character just as every other nation all around us experiences the same kind of transformations.
Big surprise to the western world but China and such have the intellectual ability, strength of mind, native wit, to appreciate this is the way of the world.
So this lying rubbish says we are cementing a relationship of succour and rescue with a staunch ally. LIE.
This lying rubbish says we are getting submarines we need for our national protection ( the nuclear bit is neither here nor there): LIE.
This lying rubbish says this profits Australian workers, business, economy , national security, national life: LIE.
This lying rubbish would have it this is evidence of a GOOD national government in Canberra doing things in the interests of the Australian nation: BIG LIE.
And so on. Figure it out for yourself.
It says there, I"m reading it: 'The AUKUS submarine deal signals 'how strong the US, Australia, and UK Alliance" is, says Geneva Centre for Security Policy's Jim Fanell.
Well apart from the redundant comma before the 'and' that's total crap.
What is does is signal how poverty stricken Australia is for intelligent strong and sensible leadership.
    That's what it does.
You know where every two bob makeup artist in Australia wants to work? Parliament House, Canberra. Job for life.

  3. If the chinese communist party is mad, you know you're doing it right. The "world peace" as you know has ended long ago since the rise of the ccp. Everyone will stop being so comfortable when the ccp is up their ass, and that. would. be. too. late. The ccp does not want peace, it wants world domination. Can't believe I have to say that.

  4. Who is going to man all these subs? It's a horrible job and our navy is quite small. Waste of money IMO and won't make a shred of difference. When I retire I won't be sticking around to pay for it. I'm taking my money and I'm out. The debt our government has racked up is unforgivable and the measures taken to ensure it's paid will only get worse.

  8. This is simply too late. Xi Ping has potentially one more 5-year term from March 2023 to March 2028 and at best two terms to 2033. He fervently wants to take over Taiwan as the legacy of his Presidency and has no qualms about fighting a war to achieve it. He also believes he would win as the USA won't fight a war over Taiwan. And if the USA did fight, he believes he would still win but this means fighting and winning the war by 2028.

In this timeline, Australia would be unlikely to have its first purchased nuclear submarine operational.

  12. wow the fk does anyone listen to this bs

    there is no constitutional government
the contracts made with japan and then france were done purposely to launder australian wealth into a slush fund as the contacts made were never going to be fulfilled on purpose with those countries involved in the scam also (most likely they are doing the same in their own countries as well)

the china tension are pre-planned, meaning they are all acting out pre planned agenda's where it is the people who are the civilization are damaged and not the criminals declaring themselves government

you wont find truth on any media stations – you think sky gives you the truth – none of the tv stations give you any information, here is a clue sky is equally the same as the ABC as they are controlled by the same companies – black rock and vanguard aka rothchilds, rockerfellers etc

  13. Hi Australia, your best mate from US/UK here. Thank you for your billion dollar contribution to our declining economy. We are sorry for soaring prices of food and mortgage rates down there, but as long as you obediently do what we ask, you will be ok. Please continue beating the war drum, we need more money from you.

  14. It doesn't show anything except the level of corruption by our own government, Australian tax payers money…for stupid foreign profiting for stupid US foreign power retainment which is of little to no benefit to Australia.. nothing was done in the interest of Australia or its people. Nor were we consulted about such a spend with a referendum. What a joke.. corrupt joke. Get the US off our soil and start using diplomacy and neutrality.. we stick our nose where it isn't needed and ignore the places it is.

  15. Can Australia's economy afford to buy and keep these subs? Since these subs would be directly use to confront China, don't think China is interest to import Australia produces anymore! With a fall in Australia's economy and a over the edge 'defence budget' to maintain, how is Australia going to make this work? Well cut off all welfare and increasing taxes would be a good start to finance these expensive toys!

China threat? Great, let's stop trading with China so that US will sell more of their freedom red wine, freedom beef, freedom Boston lobsters, freedom wheat and freedom timber to China like what happened in the last few years when China bans Australia's products!
