Stunning Renovation for Healthcare Hero and Family | George to the Rescue

History teacher by day and healthcare worker by night, Kim Jones is an inspiration. As she continually gives back to her community, it was time for George to the Rescue to pay that generosity forward. Kim will have a fixer-upper no more once George and his team are done.

  1. So happy that George & his over the top sponsors are back. Hope to see Annie back for m😊ore episodes. She is awesome! I j😮use can’t get over the before & after…when I saw the house, I was like OMGosh. What can they do. Guess it’s obvious that I just didn’t have the vision that this team did.

  3. What is with the grey walls? At one time in the history of houses there were white walls, then beige and I didn't like them. But compared to grey walls they were better. I now live in a trailer, that my brother and I rent, it has grey walls and it's like living in a cave. I painted the bathroom walls yellow, as it's on the East side and it really lit up the room. In a home we used to live in we painted the kitchen a watermelon smoothie color. The front hall a tropical coral. I had blue walls in my bedroom, pink in another bedroom, beige in another and another was white. The upstairs bathroom was blue. It was our family home. But three members have died and another moved out when she got out of high school. But I do agree that this family's home looks 100 percent better than it did. God bless.

  4. The greatest financial mistake most people make is buying a house. And then to buy a fixer-upper with no means to fix it up is even more so. I get it that the pandemic and being in healthcare (sort of) threw a wrench into whatever plans may have existed and it's great to have George help out, but it is far more prudent to help people plan their financial lives better by helping them avoid being tricked into the myth of the American Dream of homeownership or by helping them to see that f it is and can be real that they be taught to wait until ready and then to only buy something they can afford to maintain.

  5. When the little one reached up to wipe away her Mama's tears, my heart melted. This entire family is filled with love and empathy, and couldn't have been more deserving of this beautiful rescue. What a joy!
