Want student loan forgiveness fine, but take it out of the subsidies we pay for these adult day cares. They clearly are failing to prepare them for the adult world. And if you got accepted in to college and end up making less than 15 an hour you should be slapped. Hard

Get a paid internship with the Military. Get a degree while there, GI Bill for additional education, stack $$$ for emergency fund and investments. After 4 to 5 years, decide to stay or leave.

I can never understand the obsession of people who did not go to college have with people personal student loan debt…but x amount of PPP loan dollars just forgiven… these folks will never pay back that crap…it’s their money anyway (taxes) … they save this country by stimulating us out of a depression by NOT paying…kept your baby sitting factories open (school for C students)…😂
My education was over $200K, MD, MSc, BSc. $196K was forgiven for 10+ years of civilian medical service. I had payments of $1700 that I made diligently; I applied years ago (it takes 10 years or 120 payments) and have several colleagues who have also received forgiveness.

My loans were forgiven after working in the public sector for 10 years while my friends in private have gone through rounds of layoffs every so often. I’m now going private and the lack of security is insane to me.

I’m a pharmacist who graduated with 170k in student loans. I signed with an employer with a student loan repayment incentive and will work one extra shift a week (620-660 after taxes) to knock out the principal. I’ll be payed off in 4 years because I chose to major in a job that requires you to get licensed in.
