Street Fighter 6 Review – The Final Verdict

Street Fighter 6 impressed us with its incredible sense of style from the very minute its gameplay was first revealed. Now that we’ve finally gotten our hands on it, the developer’s latest fighter offers more than a gorgeous aesthetic. It also has excellent gameplay, backed by a well-rounded roster and the new Drive System.

With excellent single-player modes like Arcade and Extreme Battle, extensive tutorials and Trials for learning each character, and solid online play, Street Fighter 6 casts off the spectre of its predecessor and kickstarts a brave new era for the series.

Whether you’re practicing for hours or matching other players, blow for blow, in Battle Hub, it’s all about the World Warriors, the grind to get good and the satisfaction that comes when everything clicks, even if some elements, like World Tour, aren’t the best.

  1. Graphics are too dark, Amazing musical talent from Super SF 2 Turbo is missing, Stages are generic, Nothing special, BLM rap music has taken over and ruined the mood of what SF 2 franchise is and was. Same with SF3 which was a huge failure, Classic stages are mostly missing, Where’s T. Hawk and Fei Long and their stages?, Also is this Tekken 9 or SF? How can we turn off the 3D Camera, Keep it it in 2D plane at all times. This will be SF 5 all over again and take another 2-5 years for everything to come out? Ryu and Kens fireballs still don’t look like classic SSF2 Turbo fireballs, Bring back the old announcer as optional DLC.

  2. They need bring ki to ps5 since it aint doing nothing but flopping on the flopbox. Ima need the development to break out of that exclusivity before they pretend that game isnt profitable

  3. i’m someone who has never really played a street fighter game. i cannot put this down. haven’t even touched the battle hub or world tour yet. playing classic controls on a ps5 dpad, the specials seemed impossible at first but they’re not bad for me now after only a few hours

  4. Zelda TOTK, Hi-Fi Rush, Resident Evil 4 remake, Diablo 4, and Street Fighter 6. I have a feeling these five games are strong candidates for GAME OF THE YEAR so far!

  5. The only thing holding me back is knowing down the road Capcom will release a version with all the extra content from between now and then, and I already have a ton of stuff to play.

  6. It loses some cool points for sure. They throw a transgender in your face right from the start. Totally unnecessary. If I would have known that I wouldn't have purchased it.

  7. after 2 days of playing this game i'm not impressed. i'm probably the only guy in the world right now who feels this way. The drive impact is way too overpowered and trying to time the drive impact so that yours hits second for a crush counter is not fun either. Also, when you get hit with a crush counter from drive impact, GOOD NIGHT, you're done!

  8. Capcom has not only been killing it with the RE games, but wow, I love what they did here in SF6. The RE Engine is amazing in character details and backgrounds look like something that should be in a Disney Movie. Love Capcom!!

  9. Can’t decide between PS5 or XBOX Series X, but I have 2 controllers for my Xbox and one for the PS5, so I think maybe that answers that. Anyone gave any console or controller specific thoughts?

  10. Can you use your custom character in arcade mode? Can you use your custom character to fight someone online or is it just available for the solo campaign?
