This poor old skinny man is covered in burrs, smells as though heโs been living in trash, and his back legs arenโt working. Although we donโt think he was hit by a car, it looks like he might have degenerative myelopathy, which basically means his back limbs and spine are very weak. This is very common among pure-bred German Shepards. Weโre getting him all cleaned up (heโs soooo thirsty and hungry). Because he has so many burrs, we named him Bill Burr and will continue to update everyone. Heโs the sweetest man, weโre so glad we have him. โค

Breaks every part of my heart seeing such a majestic breed reduced to this. If I lived in your State, even in your country, I'd adopt as many as I possibly and legally could. Hoping he finds his furever home once he's up and recovered. You all do such an amazing amount of care for these human companions. xo
