This was a well written series. I enjoyed every bit of it. But one thing tho….will there be another? The ending reminds me of resident evil. Just when you thought it ended, another production emerged.

I may not be a music expert or someone who’s deep into stranger things lore, but here are some theories/predictions based on this exact scene. First up, let’s talk about the song choice. I love Master of Puppets, but why that specific song? Partly probably as a tribute to Chrissy. Because in fact, Master of Puppets is a song about dr*gs taking control over the life of addicts and considering that Eddie dedicated his iconic guitar solo to her, this song choice makes a lot of sense. The last time he really had the chance to talk to the girl he liked was when she was struggling with mental illness and even went as far as trying to buy heavy dr*gs from him to “feel better“. But at the same time, the lyrics of the song seem to apply to Vecna really well. If you think about it, he IS the Master of Puppets, who has control over his monsters and could even possess Max, Billy and many others. The lyrics mention that the Master of Puppets (aka dr*gs) is killing his subjects despite of their dedication to him. Sounds a lot like season 3 if you ask me. Now, if we look at the cover of Metallica‘s Album, we can see dozens of graves aligned, all connected to the Master of Puppets‘ hands by spiderweb-like strings. Both the sky and the Master’s hands are bright red and black aaaand this is starting to look a lot like the visuals in stranger things basically whenever we are not in the “normal world“. So this leads me to believe that the producers wanted to hint at the Master of Puppets being a Metaphor for Vecna. But as I mentioned earlier, the only time Vecna was controlling human beings was in season 3, so why bring it up again when we’re closer to season 5 anyways? Well, Eddie is kind of a special case for the show. He is the first one of the main “good guys“ to die (considering Billy as morally dark grey). Hopper had a comeback, Max was saved for now, only Eddie died. But there have been some Info drops and interviews hinting at the fact that he might not be so dead after all. And I’m probably just jumping to wild conclusions here, but what if Eddie would come back in season 5, under the control of Vecna as the Master of Puppets similar to Billy in season 3?
He stands as a metal head hero forever. The events of the final episode was foreshadowed by the dnd game. First he refused to postpone telling them to find someone else to play and he was right. They wouldn't have been able to finish off dnd vecna if he postponed.
Then the fact that dnd Vecna in the final battle when they appeared they were surprised that he didn’t die. When One didn’t die at the final encounter as well.
Now, two characters died, Eddie and Max(temporarily), and two nearly finished him off Eleven and the trio. Who i count as one since they acted together. In the end, because everyone chose to stand and fight, they nearly won. Nearly.
It’s fitting he decided to play master of puppets since in episode 1 he sells Chrissy drugs and the song master of puppets is about the horrible affects of drug addictions

Been against popular shows, decided to watch it this weekend since I had nothing to do, Eddie Munson was my favorite character.
