I STRONGLY suspect that the nanotech really is the full magic. Ie, any stranded aliens will be able to synthesize a new spaceship from raw materials in like 2 days. (And cover the previously barren rock with jungles, cities, or whatever else they feel like while they are at it) Also why does your supposedly highly advanced transhuman need food. Isn't trace amounts of deuterium enough?
I was really curious about Turok lifespan. The situation he was in really suggested biological immortality, however the extent of maintenance he was refering too also suggested cyclers to go around and exchange supplies of its government aided supplies and crew maybe. Not to mention that such harsh sanction likelly to be overseen by several individual bodies to regulate no mental changes of the overseers, since even if biological immortality achived, psychology might not be a solved problem without severe augmentation. What Im getting at that in Turok's case a predictable check in system should have saved him after a while well within his avaiable lifespan, and as an overseer he should know multiple places where he can live without any contact of the local life.
About Athene the end would be always that she has to chose to erredicate all evidence of her impact or not and if it matters at all or not even, in case her knowledge of the planet is doomed in X thousand years down the line anyways due to some interplanetary collision. In a warlike situation it might be common courtesy to fight over systems that everyone know was doomed regardless how big of a fireworks they pull off in there over any civilization that cannot be expected to reach techologies that can leave their own gravity well, but her presence can change that drasticly and that civilization might do some very predictable response after learning their world was counted disposable, also they can easilly unite knowing they are doomed and provide enough determination to just pull off self rescue mission with the clear message who to genocide first once they are in game. All this is plenty of reason for her to self detonate her powersupply and nuke out her tamperings on the locals.
The last one really reminded me of a Hyper Sapien. Who is connected to lifeless matter as much as we are connected to "lifeless" electromagnetic "bath" called mobile net. And can manipulate self and sorrounding just how an infulencer can do the same in this "bath" to "no-lifers's" matter. Constructing an insect like creature from matter manipulation would be no different to him then for us to pick up a shovel from the shed. As its own boundless energy supply avaiable he only need but matter and time to do whatever he wants, down to turning the entire planet into his generational ship, where a generation is counted in eons. He is not stranded in this planet, the solar system is stranded in his vision.
You and John Michael need to get Action Figures made of Alien Creatures and stuff like that. And sell them under the videos. You would KILL it if you did that.

I miss one important trope about cradhing on a planet.
Someone crashes with his spaceship on a planet with sentient but primitive life.he pushes her scientific and cultural advancements and goes to sleep in his stasischamber for few decades before giving them the next key technology they need.all in the service to a greater purpose like escaping the planet.
I notice it's a singular alien trapped on a strange world instead of a group or even a couple. Because that is a whole different kettle of Delta Iridani Slangerthal fish.

I do like the scifi idea of aliens showing up to Earth demanding that we hand over rogue dissidents who've discreetly taken shelter. Its an immediate ethical dilemma bc you don't know which side is lying and if you do it right, you can play both sides against the middle to rapidly match the difference in tech.

Your story of Martin questioning all the old Sci-fi shows and why they didn't do things reminds me of the Orville episode where this exact case came up. They were testing a time machine device which mistakenly sent one of the crew into the past. In order to save him though they use it to take the ship back and retrieve him but in doing so the device is destroyed beyond repair.
Their solution to getting back to their own time is the old fashion way of waiting it out. But they do this in a real Sci-fi way as their engine generates a field so they don't suffer time dilation when traveling at light speeds.Thus they rig the engine to turn this off and then simply pick a star 100 light years away, warp to it and back so that 200 years have passed for the rest of the universe and arrive back at the point in which they left.
Another Sci-fi series Sanctuary had the main character Magus going back in time with no way back. In her case she was extremely long lived so she simply went into hiding and live out her life waiting to rejoin the original point at which she left.
The story of Athena reminds me the Anime Dr. Stone as he's a genius stuck in a stone age world and getting them rebuild. Though unlike Athena he does know how a radio works and even makes one. 😉

Neolithic transition isn't easy.
The reason it even happened on Earth is that extra efficiency and ruthless overextraction of nomadic mesolithic huntergatherers eventually created a situation where taking care of your own food source was preferable to finding scarce natural ones.
Note however this should not be taken to mean people were starving to death. Instead think of this as subtle voluntary shifts made by a highly educated, if illiterate, population towards sustainable lifestyles for economic reasons that developed as traditions. The average mesolithic hunter gatherer grew as tall as the average westerner of the 2010s, had a more varied diet, (much much much) more effective democracy, had a life expectancy in the 30s (compare Iron age France at 10 or pre-revolutionary France, China, or Russia at 20s), and had a highly social, communitarian lifestyle.
But note that in this society, most people needed to be educated to do almost everything, a dizzyingly complex array of activities by this point. Having a child a year would be possible, but educating them would not. And the sensitivity of productivity to education is very high.
After the development of agriculture, that all changed. While agriculture required more work, it isn't that sensitive to education level and allows for very high productivity per hectare of land compared to hunting and gathering. The quest for sustainable lifestyles, living in harmony with one's food source, had succeeded a bit too well. There was no longer any problem with having a child a year, teaching them to be an adequate farmet rather than an incredibly skilled hunter-gatherer, and rinsing and repeating. The population density grew and the growth rate also grew to the point that a much harder carrying capacity had been reached. With the culture and tradition of limiting birth rates thoroughly destroyed by the revolutionary changes in way of life, these new societies were not only dumber, less egalitarian, and poorer, but they were also headed for a Malthusian crisis. Whether it would be starvation, disease, war, crime, emigration, or civil unrest that would curb the runway population growth, something had to do it. It turns out it was likely all of the above. And remained this way for a long time. Life expectancy did not recover anywhere until the 1700s, and did not recover everywhere until the late 20th century. The norm was still very much to have 10 kids and 2-3 survive on average until very very recently. As opposed to having 3 and 2 survive that was more normal before that. Only nowadays with modern socialist and capitalist industrialized societies where most people are service and industrial workers, not farmers, have basic needs been met as well as they were before agriculture.
What is the point to all this? Well, what if you find paleolithic societies that aren't in the right geography for agriculture and are not depleting their prey populations. Everyone before modern Sapiens lived in relative ecological balance with their environment. Why farm? Why build larger, harder to manage societies with, say, Neanderthals or Erectus as the base? There is no incentive. Agriculture in this situation is a solution in search of a problem. One that is likely to be very hard to sell even if nobody is able to predict the Malthusian population explosion making almost everyone into suffering serfs.
Re: clones?
I feel like there's gonna be a significant problem getting clones of the opposite genetic sex to be healthy.
XY runs into the issue that making an XX from it requires either duplication of the X chromosome, or hybridization of the X chromosome with itself. Either way you have serious homozygosity concern. Though perhaps not worse than just having one X chromosome, I'm not sure. The cloning process is also harder because barring bizarre hormonal circumstances this person probably is physeologically male and cannot act a surrogate.
XX likely fixes the not having a surrogate issue but creates a different one, that there really isn't any way to create a Y chromosome here. This would be viable with modern technology, although lack of diversity and heterozygosity are still issues, and if you stop doing pure cloning and start recombining, you run into the issue that everyone is genetically identical and the offspring will have to have their last name switched to Hapsburg.
Basically a science fiction futuristic version of Robinson Crusoe!!

As for the Fermi Paradox, it seems to me that a number of things are being overlooked. Given that we know that our star will go Nova in about a billion years, if intelligent alien exist then they should also be aware that stars do not live forever. So. It would make sense to build a replacement world out in the Oort Cloud rather than expending resources on interstellar missions. Again, most people on Earth have no idea what would happen if one is going some 20 percent of C and hit a rock that weighs a pound. What would happen is that your space craft is blown into several million little pieces. We ourselves have no idea as to how to protect a spaceship from such a threat. Therefore, aliens would be in the same situation and realize that interstellar travel is just suicidal. Since your star will go Nova, it makes sense to save your species and other entities such as pets and the like along with your culture. The only way to save your species is to build a world habitat far away from the parent star. It may be that aliens are right now building those species-saving habitats.
Despite being subscribed to this channel I'm extremely disappointed Isaac Arthur doesn't acknowledge the extraterrestrial presence on Earth in the here and now. . Having had a very close encounter with two alien Grays (up close & personal) with direct eye to eye contact no more than 3 feet away – I KNOW FOR A FACT EXTRATERRESTRIAL ARE ON THE PLANET! Same goes for many other people who have been in close proximity with Gray aliens.
In a sense I feel sad for Isaac Arthur because he's either unable or unwilling to acknowledge the truth about the extraterrestrial presence, it's as if he's trapped and wants to free himself but can't, damn what a waste.
