Yeah, I remember those even though I was never on on. That is how my great nephew was born. My niece met her son's father through the line. She was 14 when she gave birth to him in 2000.
I had two serious runs on the "party line" back in the day😒 I too met a kid when I was around 12, he lived in the Bronx and I lived in Queens. I saw him once at the train station and he had to stay on his side of the turnstile bc he didn't have train fare to get back to the Bronx. Our date literally consisted of him on one side of the turnstile and me on the other 😂 That was the last time I ever saw homeboy bc when my mother got that phone bill…I got a serious whoopin and was on punishment forever…those were the days 😆
