Mooching About in London today with @vloggingjournalist and we pay a visit to The Broadgate Centre and have a bit of fun with Security. I didn’t go too hard on these too, had a bit of sarcastic fun, they just needed a bit of re-education.

  1. You need to do a Troy Hawke parody and stand outside these places in a yellow jacket on the public street and remind everyone as they come "Welcome, please be aware that no cameras are allowed in this publicly accessible area, please keep your phones and any other recording in your pockets at all times"

  2. Ask these idiots if they have an internet capable phone. If the answer is Yes, suggest they go and use it to educate themselves on the law rather than bothering members of the public doing legal and lawful activity.

  3. It's all very silly really because If you had bad intentions then all you'd need is an Insta360 Go 3 and they would never notice. I wonder how they would manage with 50+ tourist suddenly appearing.

  4. You'd think these people would have the wit to say "Follow me sir and I'll give you a grand tour. We'll start with our quality control system" them go on and get a half million quids free advertising for their business, But…theres always a power hungry egotist that needs a fix.

  5. Typical office thick heads, put up a building with huge windows and then tell you not to look through them 😂
The owner of this property missed a chance to prompt their business. A polite chat and a tour does wonders.

  6. Deluded woman, freshly arrived and already a legal expert, what unmitigated arrogance from her and her manager. 41% of London's population were born outside the UK and just 38.6% of London's population identify as white.

  7. Before I post the main content of my post, please be aware that I 100% support the PINAC movement as far as filming in public is concerned.

Where a lot of auditors get it wrong, is their interpretation of "its publicly accessible therefore I can film or record". That is not necessarily the case. There are many properties such as shopping centres, hospitals, airports, railway stations etc where the public access is an implied right of access subject to the terms and conditions of the owner/occupier.

Yes you can film from outside such properties, but once on those properties you must comply with any terms and conditions imposed.

In this case you are on private property to which the public have implied right of access. You were fine when recording from outside but once on the property and asked to stop recording you are in the wrong and they would be well within their rights to trespass you from the property. They were not infringing on your rights.
