Hello again and thank you for visiting the channel and I hope you enjoy this weeks video.
Stoodley Pike is a prominent hilltop monument located near Todmorden in West Yorkshire, England. The 121-foot-tall stone structure, completed in 1856, commemorates the end of the Crimean War. The site has a rich history; an earlier monument was built in 1815 to celebrate Napoleon’s defeat and the end of the Napoleonic Wars, but it collapsed in 1854 due to weather and structural instability. The current structure, designed by architect James Green, was erected shortly after.
Perched atop a ridge at 1,300 feet above sea level, Stoodley Pike offers breathtaking views of the Calder Valley and surrounding Pennine landscape, making it a popular destination for walkers and hikers. Accessible via several trails, including the Pennine Way, the monument features an internal spiral staircase that leads to a viewing platform. Its imposing presence and historical significance make it a notable landmark in the region.
I am very lucky that I get to go out and film some lovely locations but I thought I would include you on the journey getting there with an adventure style format on this particular video rather than just fly the drone over the landmark.
It will be interesting to see what viewers think and if they prefer joining me on my journey to get to the destination or just prefer the simple flight instead or both like I have done in this particular video?
Anyway thanks for watching, it means a lot and I hope to see you again soon.
Is there anywhere in particular you would love for me to fly for you?
Please put any suggestions in the comments as any recommendations will be much appreciated and I will try my best to film as many suggested locations as possible for my viewers.

Cool video Trev ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
❤Met some great people along the path up to the top and people had travelled from miles around to get to the top 😊
Wow! what FANTASTIC footage yet again. The scenery is breath taking. Nice one Mr S.
Wow, absolutely amazing, brilliantly shot and do you require an inhaler for these mad adventures
You certainly wasn't doing a Kate Bush but the views were great at the top. Nice one Trevor
Great footage Trevor I’m not sure I could do the walk up there lol

Really good footage and the music adds alot to it. Very good 👍
An amazing location , background music loved it ..killed 2 birds with 1 stone.. walking the hills and flying the drone lol ..
Spectacular
Football club “graffiti” around the railing is so “Up North” to me. As always great video all around. Did you shoot much of the main video with the Neo that you keep flashing in your lead up description??
You’re super fortunate to have so much beauty and grandeur effectively on your doorstep. Enjoy your non-drone videos as well.
“You can just feel the moisture in the air…”. It is The North of England, after all. 😂
Thanks for posting!
top class work as always mate
The great outdoors used to feel so peaceful and natural. Now it's full of buzzing drones and bluetooth speakers.
A good bit of history for us locals trevor. Lovely firming as always
Stoodley Pike’s history and stunning location make it a must-visit for hikers and history buffs alike! The views of the Calder Valley sound breathtaking, and the spiral staircase to the viewing platform adds an adventurous touch.
