  1. great review. I agree on impossible tightrope could have been 2 minutes shorter. The title track could for me continue for ever. What a trip that track is. I've played the record on my 7.1 mix and i was almost crying…have a nice weekend!

  2. Ninet Tayeb is a popular Israeli singer, and a huge part of the Israeli pop rock scene. Not the biggest fan of her solo music but she is an incredible singer nonetheless, and Steven's songs featuring her are amazing (I believe there are 3 although I might be wrong). He actually lived here, in Israel, for a while, so I used to go to a lot of his shows (Solo, Porcupine Tree, & Blackfield). They were all great. That's also how he met Ninet, and became good friends with another really popular Israeli singer, Aviv Geffen. Together they (Steven and Aviv) formed a band called Blackfield and have released 6 studio albums and 1 live album together. Maybe you should react to one of their albums some day (Blackfield I & II are the best imo).

Edit: Btw I'd love to see the full vlog

  3. Ever since the Meshuggah gig vlog I wanted more content like that (and the Polaris show one) in your channel. Happy to see you’re considering that to be part of your content as well. Love your stuff in general, regardless. Keep killing it with the content bro!

  4. Hey Drew, glad you enjoyed the experience at EartH. The technology is use was L-Acoustics L-ISA spatial audio. L-Acoustics is the world’s leading manufacturer of pro systems for touring, music venues and festivals. The spatial audio mix for both playback and real time live mixing is called L-ISA.

  5. Big fan of this one as opposed to The Future Bites. It's more akin to what you'd expect from an electronic-oriented approach from him. There's still an extensive use of electronics but it's contrasted by elements from his previous albums in a way that is much more immediately noticeable, resulting in a very unique and cinematic sound. There's also a big emphasis on space which contributes to the broodiness of the entire thing. It's his most stylistically diverse effort as well and it's the one with the most depth and details. My only complaint is how "connected" the experience is, and by that I mean you can only get the most out of the album by listening to the entire thing in one sitting.

  6. The title track is the only one I’m not overly attached to, I agree it’s a bit too long and needs quite a more dynamism. However, Impossible Tightrope to me is absolutely incredible, doesn’t drag at all…
