Steven Mead, euphonium: "Fantasia di Concerto" by Edoardo Boccalari. U.S. Army Band Conference, 1994

A very challenging piece, especially when performing it live with band, and Steven did a great job. Conducting the Army Band was Capt. David C. Cole (Director of Music, The Band of H.M. Royal Marines).
The piece was written in 1906:

  1. The best execution in the world of this piece, for me. But this is live, I have the version recorded in the studio, and it's another level!
In the final part, Steven use the triple tonguing on the same note and don't play actual notes write on the part.

Way back in 2007, I heard Steven play it live, and actually doing the last part as written, was awesome!
The undisputed number one in the world.
