  1. If you want even more Stephen King in your face aliens, check out Tommyknockers. It gets a lot of crap, both the book and the mini series, but I like it. I'm not crazy about Dreamcatcher though.

  2. I always hated this movie . It's because I bought it on DVD when it came out and the disc would always freeze about 3/4 of the way in and the majority of the final 1/4 was not playable on my payer . I even repurchased the DVD about a year later and had the same issue with the second DVD so I've never seen the last quarter of the film . Not sure if it was a player issue or defective DVDs . I never really cared enough to dig them out and investigate further .

  3. Would you consider watching 'Platoon (1986)?'
    Brutal Vietnam War film.

It stars Willem Dafoe, whom you also watched in 'American Psycho.'
It also features Keith David, who starred in 'They live.'

Also starring John C. McGinley, that nice doctor from 'Scrubs.'

And of course Tom Berenger and introducing Charlie Sheen.

  5. Great cast, fun movie. Was excited to see the Mrs. reaction to the "ass weasels." LOL! Love that her "memory warehouse" is a "she shed." My "memory warehouse " files were converted to digital in the 2000s and are full of bugs and glitches.

  6. One more Stephen King movie I wished I had see. Before I read the book. Just about every movie based on a full king novel is so much worse & different than its source material. I know I would've loved this movie if I saw it first, great cast, cool story & effects. Just loved the book so much its hard not to be disappointed. I did like it better this time since it's been so long since I read it

  7. I don’t think the dates line up in the novel for Pennywise to be a threat to Josie when she was stuck in the sewers. The childhood sections take place in the 70s and Pennywise was absent from 1958-1985

  8. Directed by Lawrence Kasdan, who wrote RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK and THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK….co-written by William Goldman, who wrote THE PRINCESS BRIDE, BUTCH CASSIDY AND THE SUNDANCE KID and also adapted MISERY!

  9. I've read most of Kings books and love all of them. This is one of the better adaptations apart from Duddits being an alien… that bit ruined the ending so much, I left the theatre with a bad taste in my mouth.

  10. Great reaction, guys! I think "Tommyknockers" is the only other overtly alien novel that I can recall from Mr. King. The TV adaptation for it was meh, but you can watch it if you have nothing better to do.
