Does the eternal leader will die? I mean, it's an organic.
When i saw the Zarqlan event I was convinced we'd have the Horizon Signal and repeat the last impossible run beat by beat
Pretty sure Democracy in this empire died when the Alien-Scientist Fleshling was voted in and everyone keeps doing it because she does such a damn good job at it. You've basically created the Space NCR, as they also had Tandy in charge for decades because nobody wanted anyone else.
Oh, and because you swapped into Fanatic Materialist, she's probably getting voted in even more likely now given she is a Materialist herself, so she's appealing even more to the people. π
Jon, how can 5 worlds be optimal for a virtual empire? You colonize a world and get one extra, it increases your upkeep and sprawl, and makes you actually need to invest into getting it running, with districts that again cost upkeep and sprawl. And most importantly… You apply a 25% resources from jobs malus to *four* different worlds. Sure the bots there still produce 50% more, so the maths technically still check out, but you need so much more of everything to break even, that you just balloon in pop size, district size, etc.
day 1 of requesting Jon to put the witcher 3 on the next democracy week poll
Jon turning his empire into the United States by abolishing parliament, trying to become an oligarchy, and installing a preeminent military position of "protector of liberty"
my goodness π
This is why Jon could never play a slaving despot empire or rampaging horde destroying all in his path. He prefers to become that slowly over time in each playthrough. If he did play as the all consuming darkness of doom he'd end it a democratic race of pacifists
Where is the Crisis? There was supposed to be a galaxy shuttering Crisis!
This is how democracy dies…through incompetence. Very meta.
Using an ascension perk to reduce empire sprawl by 19????
We need a crisis to kick off here, Jon makes less daft decisions when he's struggling to survive XD
30:57 ships get such beautiful names in Stellaris after a point, I'd love to hear the exploits of the Calix 5 IV. No, not the Calix V 4, no you don't get it I mean the Calix…
I keep expecting Jon to pronounce Ma'Karan as McCarran, given his love for New Vegas
I've been watching MATN vids for over a decade now. I've progressed with my career, got married, had kids, lost relatives, moved country (π¬π§ to π¦πΊ) and had all the usual ups and downs life throws at us all.
But a weird constant is watching Jon's videos. Particularly strategy playthroughs like Stellaris, any Total War, Civilization and Crusader Kings.
Not sure Jon or Claire will see this but just wanted to say cheers.
Who are the miserable people who dislike a Jon Stellaris playthrough? I don't undestand.
Jon, I dunno if someone menioned that to you, but… the Minister of State is pretty important for external affairs… the lac of one tanks your Diplomatic Weight by 25%
This is how democracy dies: With a confused ramble.
Love to be a beacon of liberty by abolishing parliament and giving my general a seat on the executive.
@27:09 Ey Ma'Karan-a
The void is very White Hot Room in feel.
never has this stream been a more accurate representation of current british politics

Fun fact you might not know, you can actually rename the factions in Stellaris! I forget how, but I think you need to click on their name or logo once you have selected them in the faction overview tab.
