I was hoping for a religion DLC but this is good.
After i saw the trailer i expected some kind of "new superman orgin".
But instead of war of the galactic heroes we got the planetary parlament.
We will see how its really like.
Oh and the Obelisk is the home of your warlock where he tries out new spells, far away from anything valuable that could go missing …
I recently got into the game and I love to headcanon leaders, played as the CoM and after winning a minor war against a xeno faction a xeno's rights faction formed…led by one of the admirals from that same war!
Would be cool to have more in depth stories for fun things like that
I wonder if the obelisk at the end has something to do with the tianqi deathworld. We never got all the answers to that phenomenon. Another possibility is that this may have something to do with the Watchers which has been suggested to be a fourth crisis

Hoping this plays into my favorite leader set up, using the imperial cult edict then going for psionic immortality to role play a godlike leader

A leader rework would work amazingly with the COOP addition, same with the council. I actually just had a COOP game with a group of mates where we all got a leader each and voted on specific changes to our empire. It adds so much roleplay, and event, opportunities that leaders might have their own planets, and have a spot on the council; pushing their agendas and using their influence over others on the council. An internal politics rework, in general, would work well to stem the mid-game bordem as you build up your planets, having to deal with factional power struggles, maybe, in the future. There's a lot of potenital!
The game might as well be a psychological horror, terrible gameplay.

I think its actually inspired by a popular mod from steam workshop, the branching choice per level is the clear hint
chosen one will be a legendary leader aswell i assume

This is definitely a must buy DLC for me when it arrives on console! I love the roleplay aspect, and having “famous leaders” will certainly add a lot of personality to empires, especially my own!

i made fun of my gf for the amount of money she spent on sims 4. then i put together what i spent on stellaris. im not making fun of her anymore

I have to say this DLC is looking mighty boring to me. Im concerned there will be 2 stages to this dlc, 1) the initial 'fk me, what does this thing do?' as i get constant notifications for all the leaders i need to level up and read all the tid bits. to the second stage 2) where i know all the best stuff and just lock these things in almost every time.
It just seems like extra micromanagement to me that i just wont enjoy. I already completely ignore the galactic um, whats it called again? the big voting floor mechanic, i just never touch it.
No more hireing and fireing 50 leader to finally get the right trait. 👍
