Stellaris First Contact brings the Minamar Specialised Industries, a new antagonist for two of the three new origins. Today we get a peek behind the curtain and a look at the new MSI Flagship. Yes, it is not a megastructure, it is not an observation post. It is an actual space ship!
Lets dive in and find out more!

What if MSI doesn't actually occupy a planet, but mainly inhabit their Flagship instead? That'd be a cool angle. A mobile home planet.
Now I'm really wondering about the implementation of MSI. Are they a typical AI advanced start or will they be more like a fallen empire? Or perhaps an enclave?
That's so funny. The NSC2 mod has additional ship hull types like Strike Cruiser, Battlecruiser, Dreadnought etc., well it also has a Flagship, that's kinda like a Juggernaut where if you (or another empire) builds one, there's a game-wide alert about it, but the first one to build one, basically forces the other empires to build one as a sort of simulated arms race. It's a monster of a ship
The ambient reminds me "The Auchindun" on Draenor
I feel like hive mind empires sharply drop off in the end game, am I correct in thinking this or wrong?

Ok, imho, i feel this is gonna end up as a really hollow dlc. Think about it, the new portraits and ship models can't be used by the players, and besides that, the only new things added by this dlc are 3 origins, a colossus weapon and a mechanic that won't be used very often. I love Stellaris and i really hope a new dev diary in the near future comes to save this dlc for me (sorry if my english isn't very good)
I wonder how it's gonna work with the new devolution colossus and an ability to get 500 influence for uplifting pre-sapients. Is it gonna be nerfed somehow?
It would be cool if you could capture the flagship and get a bonus from it, but trhe minimar could take it back or hire someone to take it back
So I can make the hole galaxy retune to monke
That MSI ship low-key reminds me of that giant ship from Code Geass at the end of Season 2.
wait a second i just realised something, This means there might be a flagship feature in the future. maybe some buff to a single ship when you designate it as such. (and a debuff to the war when you lose it).
9:48 Klingons from STD "reworked klingons"
The MSI aliens look a quite Bolian.
Monke!
i kinda think the Stellaris team just made the Orokin and i dig it. . .
I did NOT expect a art/process class when I clicked this video. It was, however, a pleasant surprise.
Surprisingly we have similar ideas back in the 1900s…Nice.
Looks like the protoss mothership from the top
