  1. This reminded me how awesome Desperados 3 was.

Also on sale are Dwarf Fortress, Stellaris, Big Ambitions, Battletech, Hearts of Iron 4, etc.

I'd advise against Victoria 3, it still has massive performance issues in the mid-late game that make it almost impossible to finish a game.

  2. Im so disappointed with steams event. The big seasonal sales are supposed to be big. What im interested in has been out for 1 year+ and the best discount available is 25%, the same as any other time..

Ill just get BG3 and starfield then. Maybe its a good thing that nothing interesting has been reduced

  3. Do note than anno 1880 has the douchebag denuvo code incorporated. So does two point campus and midnight sun.

And review of victoria 3 is quite bad. And do note timberborn is still early access.

But yes ixion, old world are quite enjoyable, even if not perfect

  4. My friends and I have recently gone back to Anno 1800 and having a BLAST. Multiple multiplayer games that we have fired up and then restarted as we mess up to come back and get better and better. So much fun.

  5. Thanks for the overview. I've been looking at what's on sale from my wishlist. But thanks to your video here, I now have some new games added that I want to check out.

  6. When you review Anno 1800 and don't mention the problems with the horrible launcher you sound more like a paid ad than an independent reviewer. Unsubscribed.

  7. I recommend "Against the Storm". Fantastic rouge-like city builder. It's still in early access, but a fantastic game already, with fantastic devs patching big updates every 2 weeks.

  9. Opening the video and immediately seeing footage from Anno 1800 warmed my heart. Anno is a great franchise with a bigger emphasis on logistics than on standard "city-building," and the graphics are consistently beautiful. While Anno 2070 was my favorite in the series, it had a number of launcher issues and learning-curve difficulties that were smoothed out in later installments. I'm super glad that Anno 1800 came back to Steam (probably thanks in large part to the Steam Community forums for the game being consistently communicative about where and how to buy DLCs for the Steam version of the game) after being briefly available on Steam and then taken off of the storefront near launch.

  10. At this point I have watched 3 minutes of your video. Can I just say, the way you described anno 1800 and your delivery was perfect. I honestly think ubisoft should hire you for promoting their games. A very well written description of anno and again, delivered perfectly. Fair play to you.

  11. I put in a lot of time on Anno 1800. For $20, the base game offers 100s if not 1000 hours of gameplay. It's more logistics than anyhting else, but the game is gorgeous as you can see, and the DLCs expand the gameplay exponentially for a decent price.

The campaign is not great, I found the storyline cheesy but it's useful as a tutorial to learn the game. After that, you'll find the standard sandbox to be a huge ball of fun. Hugely recommend it.

  12. Sorry but… you are a bit tone deaf when it comes to game pricing. Base games with a lot of DLC are notoriously "on sale". Because come on… who wants to play "the base game" and not get the DLCs? So honestly I wouldn't consider this really too much of a sale.

  13. Anyone looking for a city builder, I strongly recommend Timberborn. The vertical construction you can do and manipulating waters can be barrels of fun. It is still in early access and I have already put in 1000+ hours.
