Welcome to channel if you’re new here, I’m Orbital Potato and play a bunch of strategy, simulation and sci-fi games here on YouTube. I usually cover these games in the Lets Play format, but also make videos analysing specific game mechanics and looking at new releases. people gotta play ixion, if only to hear the music and sound design. I play the opening cinematic for people on my Genelecs, it's incredible.
The best strategy deal, with the greatest happiest rewards, is watching Comrade Potato starting a new Workers and Resources series.
I love how the clip for Cardboard Town's trailer includes the part where they quoted Orbital Potato. I hear that guy makes good strategy game recommendations.
I challenge you to a Forts duel 😛
Thank you for the Farlanders recommendation – ended up buying it today!
Nice job not picking out the usual suspects when it comes to strategy games. I had further research a few of these, so thank you for bringing them to my attention!
Out of all of these games, Shapes is my Favourite, and it is top tier.
Makes videos on mobiles games
I just skipped through but didn't see Anno 1800 – good game – good discount – but watch out for Storage and Processors – for me its quite heavy on those
4:49 riftbreaker AKA Factorio 3D on steroids
I'm a new fan to your channel and really enjoy your comments. My significant other is getting a Steam Deck for me for Christmas and I'm curious which strategy games are best on the Deck. I know it's not the ideal platform for this genre but would appreciate your and any other readers opinions. Thanks!
I love Mars Horizon, very excited to hear that there is a sequel
calling mars horizons "like kerbal space program" sounds like you didnt play either
Can you do an automation co-op list me and my friends love yo play satisfactory and factorio and we are looking yo buy desynced but looking for more to play
I cant recommend mindustry enough. Great game, great dev, added complete new dlc for free. And you can get an open source version without steam for free too.
Mindustries is more like Riftbreaker than Factorio.
Get stellaris
What does “Moorish” mean in this context? Sounds like an insult given your accent, but you’re not using it that way. Help out a puzzled Yank.
My potato is orbital, but I'm not saying what it's orbiting presently!
This, as ever, is an eclectic and recherche' selection, and there's more than a few pleasant surprises in store for people getting any of the games. Good work, Circling Spud!
