Only way I would live next to the ocean is in a huge RV or camper trailor so I could run for the hills when the storms like this comes so you don’t loose all your stuff! Even if you got stuck couldn’t get out you could probably pull up on something keep it out of the water! You can’t move a house. And no matter how high you build it storms can always take it out even inland! Asheville is way up in hills I’m surprised is got wiped out! Must have been flash flooding and rivers breached it walls! There is two rivers near by! But it’s 300-400 miles from the ocean up in the Smokey mountains!
