  1. Our new hotter climate dries out the vegetation to the point of fire tinder, it burns everything to the ground in high winds, and when the Jet Stream meanders a bit, an atmospheric river develops to cause a deluge equivalent to a thousand-year flood. This is a pattern that will repeat itself for at least 100 years due solely to the ability of the CO₂ laden atmosphere to absorb more water at higher temperatures.
