I would like a story about humans making Planetary Rail Guns for centuries before achieving Faster than Light travel. Alien's seeing human's as an easy target due to their lack of a Space Fleet and FTL Drives find they've lost all their ships before reaching attack range of earth. The Alien's being confused as to why Humans have such deadly destructive weapons before even reaching space or knowing the existence of other races! "Human make horrifying weapons to fight each other, staying one step ahead of an none existent domestic threat that could develop in the future." All the damage the Alien's did to the human's was advancing their technology by centuries from salvaging their ships. Human achieving FLT was easy but the human's didn't stop, developing Warp travel between time and space and eventually the hyperdrive with almost instantaneous traveling across the galaxy only achievable by Human Technology and their unnatural willingness to use A.I with equal rights as humans and right to exist and be free as any other being.
These stories where humans "somehow" drive right up to a "command ship" and cut a hole in it. When the hole was finished, the ENTIRE crew have now built a tank. A headhunter from Borneo ain't climbing on a US Navy ship from 1980 when I was in. Especially a command ship. In a congested foreign port, a "stupid-cide" bomber did get next to the USS Cole. No-one boarded. In open space where you have 360×360 view? Not "science fiction", not even fantasy. Grew up in the '60s & '70s, so I have to relate these kind of stories to 'shrooms or acid… maybe both. Not my genre.
Allways the fooking stupid Amazon rainforest. Could you just once use the Amazon warehouse instead, just a suggestion.
"But the war was far from over." In one of the stories, the humans destroy the enemy's massed fleet around its home system, but still, "The war is far from over."

Why does every commander take their frustration out on the poor, defenceless control panel?
