  1. Considering the Punto, Volvo and 75 were all trade up or challenge cars it would make sense to sell them first. The 75 at least keeps up with the Rover dynamic of the channel. Best to let the Punto go to someone who's an admirer and can use it regularly or keep it tip top and the Volvo is a fuel guzzler when you have V8s so you've answered your own question

  2. Think I'd move on the Rover P6, just never seems to start and certainly doesn't like you. And having decided to break the Merc, you should have stuck to your plans on that Matt. That is going to be a total pain and expensive to get that back in any sort of fit state.
Other cars I would get rid of are the very boring 'Mini' (definitely not a hot hatch) and the boxy Alfa thing behind it. Not a looker that. Keep the Tomcat and the 400 Estate. And the 75, they are getting rare. And certainly the Volvo for the impending WW3 as you say.
Think you need a BMW in the fleet (early E39 perhaps).

Love the different views we all have on what cars to keep.

  3. Love the P6’s but I think the Crown Vic trumps them but only just. It is an awful affliction having so many cars, I keep thinking I need to reduce my collection but that normally means I go the other way and buy another one. 2024 saw me go up to 21 cars with the purchase of a Morris Minor Van…..

  4. Would love to see the W123 up and running at some point Matt. When you think back to all the grief you had with that getting it to start all those years ago. Its had numerous 'stays of execution' and to see it back on the road would really be something. I actually re-watched those videos recently, great fun!

  5. Since you would be attached to all the cars in some way, it's always hard to determine which ones to give up, but moving the old Benz on made sense. But i would keep the Vicky, the two P6s, the 200 and the 400 estate, the BMW Mini and the Morris Mini, the 75, the Freelander and sell the rest gradually if they're not being used regularly or are either becoming too costly to maintain or new faults keep cropping up.

  6. Sell the Freelander, buy another 4×4 then keep rotating every 12 months with another 4×4 ?? Happy Christmas Matt, keep up the excellent work 👍😉🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🎄

  7. You forgot two of the fleet, the C5 and that old motor mower, yes it's a Pedestrian Controlled Vehicle according to DVLA. What happened to the volume, it started quiet and got even quieter by the end.

  8. Was that really a year since you dropped the 420 GSi off at the Paint shop??

Love the 200vi, such a sleeper car.

Still think you should keep the 75, it's a beauty of a car, makes me wish I still had mine.

Love Sleaze the V8 P6, through the white P6 is a beauty.

Another favourite of mine is the Punto mainly because of the Scarborough link for me.

Know what you mean about a realible car on the fleet, at the minute I have the Family Fabia, owned from new coming up for 7 years old and is always the turn key choice for realibilty, since selling the Cactus I do seem to drive it more but alas I think it's time to increase the fleet again and it's currently between two since watching your Civic Type R or a Mark 2 Fabia vRS and I may have a wildcard idea, too many glasses of wine and auto trader searches are bad 😂😂.

Breaking this into two parts and will catch up with the next section shortly.

  9. Hippo is another favourite but on the council estate where I stay or estates I love in Edinburgh the Range Rover is King…😂😂.

Another favourite is the Volvo cannot believe how much you bought it for and I loved the Roadtrip.

Thank you for the fleet update Matt, know the feeling about other cars to drive or own.

  10. Personally, for me, I'd be keeping both the Minis, the Crown Vic, the Volvo, the white Rover P6, the MX5, the 200VI, 220 Tomcat and the 420 tourer. I'd be looking to move the Freelander on and swap it for a Disco, or maybe even a P38 if you hate yourself. I'd also keep the Rover 75 but only until the W123 is done.

Great video, love your collection, ESPECIALLY the Volvo, as it inspired me to buy my 940S daily driver, here's to another year of Furious fleet shenanigans!
